Xue Tingzhe (formerly known as Xue Xiaoqiu) was born in Nanjing in August 1989. He showed his extraordinary musical talent since he was a child. He began to study piano at the age of 5. During his enlightenment stage, he studied with teachers Li Zhongqiu and Ye Huifang. , from then on you can accurately hear complex chords with your ears.
From 1996 to 1998, he studied under Mr. Megumi Ohashi of Musashi University of Music in Japan. During his studies, he won first place in the Tokyo Children’s Piano Competition, and later won awards in many Japanese piano competitions. At the age of 12, he entered the Shenzhen Art School with first place and studied under the famous piano educator Professor Dan Zhaoyi. Since the age of 15, Xue Tingzhe has won awards in many important piano competitions at home and abroad. In March 2006, he participated in an international competition for the first time and won the first place in the youth category at the 3rd Isido Baiji International Piano Competition in Serbia. He was immediately invited by the European CEI Youth Symphony Orchestra and the famous Italian conductor. Touring 12 concerts in Europe to commemorate the 250th anniversary of Mozart's birth. In April of that year, he once again won the first prize at the 11th Southern Missouri International Piano Competition in the United States, where there were many masters. In 2007, he won the first place in the Chinese selection of the 7th Polish Padnovsky International Piano Competition and held concerts in many countries. As a boy who had already made a name for himself in the international classical music scene, he was also invited by the prestigious Ivy League school Yale University in the United States. However, after graduating from high school, Xue Tingzhe resolutely chose to continue studying with his mentor Professor Dan Zhaoyi at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music.
In 2010, Xue Tingzhe signed a contract with Universal Music and became the youngest classical artist under Universal Music that year. In the same year, his first personal piano performance album "Magic Finger" was released in the three places across the Taiwan Strait and was a great success. It achieved platinum record sales and won the "2010 Best Piano Performance Album" award.
In 2011, Xue Tingzhe's first neo-classical original music album "Silent Music" was released. He almost took care of the composition, arrangement and piano performance of the entire album. This album is groundbreaking and milestone. Meaningful original album has also achieved good sales and reputation, and was awarded the "Best Classical Music Album of the Year" award by the Musicians Association. The song "Broken Rondo" from the album was favored by the 23rd Taiwan Golden Melody Awards and was nominated for "Best Arranger". Xue Tingzhe became the youngest nominee for this award in the history of the Golden Melody Awards.
In 2012, Xue Tingzhe continued his efforts and released a neoclassical original music album "The Soloist's Secret", continuing to consolidate his position as a leader in China's cross-border neoclassical music genre. In each concert, he combines his own advantages of creation and performance to bring more diversified music forms and styles to the audience.
In 2013, Xue Tingzhe collaborated with the famous conductor Li Xincao and the China National Symphony Orchestra to release the heavyweight performance album "Concerto". After the album was released, it was highly recognized by the industry. Xue Tingzhe and Li Xincao immediately jointly held many symphony concerts across the country, and their collaboration became a legend in the Chinese classical music industry.
In 2014, Xue Tingzhe held many solo and symphony concerts across the country, and became the spokesperson for Yangtze Piano, a high-end national brand under Perth Music Group. In August of the same year, he was invited to participate in the opening ceremony of the Second Summer Youth Olympics as a guest piano performer.
