Yang Yang is an outstanding tenor singer in our country. On the opera stage, he is one of the few singers in China who is qualified to play the tenor role written by Rossini. He was in the opera "Gianni" produced by the National Center for the Performing Arts. "Schiki", "The Barber of Seville" and "Cinderella" have played major roles.

During his lifetime, Yang Yang was a professor of vocal music at Capital Normal University, a master's tutor, a distinguished artist of the Central Opera House, and was selected as one of the "Top Ten Tenors in China" by CCTV. He was also the winner of the Ukrainian National Medal of Arts and the Kiev Tchaikovs Distinguished vocal expert from Jilin Conservatory of Music.

Yang Yang has performed many times at home and abroad with CCTV's "Heart to Heart" Art Troupe and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' "Star Art Troupe", including in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Israel, Turkey, Russia, and Hungary. He has performed on opera and concert stages in dozens of countries including Croatia, Israel, South Korea and Singapore, starred in dozens of Chinese and foreign operas, and held dozens of solo concerts.

In 2005, Yang Yang performed in the opera "Don Juan" at the Verona Opera House in Italy, playing the male lead "Ottavio". He also starred in the opera "Qin Shihuang and the Great Wall" as the male lead.

In 2006, at the 4th Beijing International Drama Festival, Yang Yang played the male lead "Li Jia" in the premiere of the large-scale original opera "Du Shiniang" at the Central Opera House; and in commemoration of the 250th birthday of Mozart On the occasion of the anniversary, he was invited by the China National Symphony Orchestra to be the lead singer of Mozart's "Requiem".
