Let's paddle the oars
Interlude from the movie "Flowers of the Motherland"
Singer: Children's Chorus of China National Broadcasting Station
Let's swing the oars and the boat pushes away the waves
The beautiful white pagoda is reflected on the sea, surrounded by green trees and red walls
The boat floats gently in the water, facing us A cool wind is blowing
The red scarf is facing the sun, and the sunshine is shining on the sea
The fish in the water are looking at us and quietly listening to our happy singing
The boat floats gently in the water, and the cool wind blows in the face
After finishing the day's homework, let's have fun
I ask your dear partner, who will arrange it for us Let's live a happy life
The boat floats gently in the water, and the cool wind blows in front of it
Extended information:
"Let's Swing the Oars " is a song written by Mr. Qiao Yu, composed by Mr. Liu Chi, and sung by Liu Huifang. This song is the theme song of the children's movie "Flowers of the Motherland" filmed in 1955. In 2002, the song was selected as a text in Beijing Normal University's third-grade elementary school textbook.
In 1955, director Yan Gong asked Liu Chi to compose the music for the film "Flowers of the Motherland", and he readily agreed. One day in July 1955, directors Yan Gong and Su Li led all members of the film crew and a large group of twelve or thirteen-year-old children (young actors and extras in the film) to experience life in Beihai Park
The composer Liu Chi also came with him and had an inspiration while playing with the children. So he started writing on a big rock on the small peninsula of "Rhinoceros Watching the Moon", using his legs as a table. The solo part of "Let's Scull" and the chorus part of "Children's Voice" have been completed.
