Pan Rongbi of the Qing Dynasty wrote "The Imperial Capital's Records of the Years: Miscellaneous Operas of the Years": "The usual plays include taking off clay coins, rolling stone balls, whipping gyros, releasing bells, playing crutches, and rolling walnuts."
