After his wife passed away on August 4, 1999, he began to work in drama, film, television, acting, production, and directing for more than 40 years. He is still acting now, and the films that are more recognized by the audience include Liu Si in "Camel Xiangzi", An Lushan in "Tang Minghuang", Yuan Baofan in "Qiu Begonia", etc., all of which are among the "bad guys". Occasionally, he also changes his evil ways and does good things. For example, he played the old patriarch in "The Artifact" and recently played the Stove Lord in "The Stove Lord in the World". He feels that he is pretty good about himself.
