The brass quintet is a common performance form of Western wind instruments. It's five brass instrument players performing a musical piece together. It usually consists of the following five instruments: one bass, one French horn, two trumpets, and one trombone.
The industrial revolution occurred in the 19th century, and the brass quintet was born in the same era, and matured in the 20th century with the development of the Internet. There is not much music specially created for the brass quintet. However, from classical to jazz, the repertoire of arrangements is very wide and has endless potential, which means that the brass quintet will become more and more attractive in the 21st century.
The Canadian Brass Quintet is led by Bernhard Scully. (French horn), Chuck Daellenbach (tuba), Caleb Hudson (trumpet), Achilles Liarmakopoulos (trombone) and Christopher Coletti (trumpet)
