"Russia, Our Sacred Motherland"
Lyrics: С·Mikhalkov
Music: Alexander Love
Россия - священная наша держава, [ra'ssia - svia'shcio'na'ya na'sha der'ja'va]
Russia, our sacred motherland,
Россия - любимая наша страна. [ra'ssia liu'bi'ma'ya na'sha stra'na]
Russia, our lovely homeland.
Strong will, great glory
This is your eternal treasure!
Славься, Отечество наше свободное, [slav'sya ate'che'stva na'she sva'bo'd'nae]
Be proud, our free motherland,
p>
Brotherly national alliances have been passed down from generation to generation,
Предками данная мудрость народная! [pred'kami dan'na'ya mu'dra'st' ??na'rod'na'ya]
The ancestors gave the people wisdom!
Славься, страна! Мы гордимся тобой [slav'sya stra'na my gar'dim'sya ta'boi]
Be proud, motherland! We are proud of you!
From the southern sea to the Arctic territory
From the southern sea to the Arctic territory
>Our forests and fields are everywhere.
Одна ты на свете! Одна ты такая - [adna ty na svie'te adna ty ta'ka'ya]
You are unparalleled in the world!
Хранимая Богом родная земля! [hra'nima'ya bo'gam ra'dna'ya zem'lya]
You are the only fertile soil blessed by God!

Mikhail Ivanovich Glinka (Mikhail Glinka 1804-1857). Russian composer, national music school.
Novobaskoy was born in Smolensk in 1804 and came from a wealthy landowner family. During his general education in St. Petersburg, he studied piano with John Field in 1817, as well as violin and harmony.
Glinka’s civic consciousness and freedom-loving thoughts became increasingly mature. Shortly after finishing his studies in St. Petersburg, the Decembrists failed in their uprising in December 1825. Glinka also had contacts with the “rebels” and was summoned. ?
While studying in St. Petersburg, the artistic atmosphere there influenced the young Glinka, allowing him to develop his musical talent. He often set foot in the theater, enjoying famous operas by Mozart, Rossini and Cherubini, a professor at the French Conservatoire.
Learn violin from Bem and piano from Irish pianist Field. The German pianist and composer Meyer was Glinka’s main teacher in music theory.
