Private Conservatory
The Vienna Conservatory (Vienna Conservatory) was founded in 1979. It was originally a music school co-founded by Mag. Eva Maria Schmid and Mag. Josef Schmid***. The school was recognized by the Austrian Ministry of Culture and Education in the 1992/1993 academic year and was upgraded to a private music school.
School History
In 1979, Mag.EvaMariaSchmid and Mag.JosefSchmid founded the Vienna Music School.
In the 1992/1993 academic year, it received public law rights granted by the Austrian Ministry of Culture and Education and was upgraded to a music school.
In 2005, students at the Vienna Conservatoire can obtain a Bachelor of Arts or a Master of Arts through cooperative projects between the academy and other universities.
The Vienna Conservatory of Music became a member of the AEC in the 2008/2009 academic year. AEC (Association Europeen des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen) is the Association of European Conservatories and Music Universities, founded in 1953.
School Introduction
The Vienna Conservatory of Music was founded as a music school by Professor Josef Schmid and Professor Eva Maria Schmid. Since 1992 the school has operated as a conservatoire under the conservatorship and is composed of different faculties.
The Conservatory of Music is approved by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Culture and has public education qualifications. The degree certificates and results issued are equally valid as certificates from national universities. The certificates are recognized not only in Europe, the United States, Asia, but also in other countries around the world. Arts degrees are eligible for employment in symphony orchestras, drama orchestras and opera houses. Graduates can also work as concert soloists, soloists, vocalists, or teach in conservatories, colleges and music schools; similarly, arts degrees are also available as teachers. A degree in this category qualifies you to found and lead your own music schools and conservatories.

The Vienna Conservatory of Music has no special restrictive examinations for foreign students, and no admission examinations for beginners. Level examinations are conducted at the end of each academic year or semester.
The school has a teaching team of more than 50 teachers. In the past, the school has worked closely with the Prayner Conservatory of Music with public legal rights in postgraduate seminars and various activities; the Vienna Conservatory of Music has 15 teaching rooms Classrooms also have rehearsal and recording studios for students to use. The elegant and charming hall of the district hall serves as the concert hall of the Vienna Conservatory of Music, and the hall of the Prayner Conservatory of Music is also available.
Currently, there are more than 350 students studying in various departments.
