Kindergarten Transition

The transition link in kindergarten is the transition of children from one activity to another in the course of a day's activities.

It is an important part of the day-to-day life in kindergarten. It is the link between children’s life activities, learning activities, and game activities. It has the function of transformation and linking the past and the next. An effective transition link is to make each link more natural and smoother, making children's life in the kindergarten more comfortable. Situations that require transition links include coming to the park, leaving the park, preparing to go to outdoor activities, queuing up to go to other places, changing activity areas, returning to group activities, starting circle activities, etc. Transitions are often difficult for young children.

Transition method:

1. Active transition. Among them, there are mainly small games and some rhythm activities. In games and rhythms, invisible bridges are built between children, peers and teachers. Let the transition link become a bridge for children to cooperate with their peers.

2. Signal transition. Among them, music, piano sounds, gestures, etc. are used as transitions. Create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere at the event. Let the transition process unfold naturally and orderly. Use music as a carrier to penetrate into the transitional link, so some beautiful light music can be played at the beginning or after the link.

3. Clued transition. Use the conversation between teachers and children as the main transition method to prepare for the next activities.

4. Blank transition. Provide a blank area for children to move independently. Such as: reading area, happy stage, etc.
