There is a piece of music, which should last forever in history, and it always haunts my mind, such as the vast and long wind, which has been accompanied by the turbulent torrent of my life for thirty-seven years.

Creative experience-
In February 1965, at a party meeting of Shanghai Musicians Association, He Lvting, Ding Shande, Huang Yijun and others made a careful study of the reported primary selection program of "Shanghai Spring" concert, and agreed that the works with modern themes of praising the motherland, the people and China should be strengthened. Therefore, it was decided that Lv Qiming, a young composer, should write a song, and Huang Yijun suggested that the title should be Ode to the Red Flag. Lv Qiming, who gladly accepted this arduous creative task, fell into excited memories of the past when he entered the brewing conception of his works. The red flag is a symbol of the revolution. In the oil lamp light of the boat in South Lake, among the green bamboos in Jinggangshan, in front of the wall of Zunyi City, the revolutionary holy land of Yan 'an and the position of Huaihai Campaign, there are red flags flying in every position where revolutionaries have fought. The red flag was dyed red with blood by Qian Qian's revolutionary martyrs. Lv Qiming's father, Lv Huisheng, was a senior cadre during the war. Unfortunately, he was arrested in September 1945. He was righteous and unyielding in prison and died heroically. Lv Qiming grew up under the red flag. In 194, when he was just 1 years old, it was his father who took him and his sister to join the New Fourth Army Cultural and Art Troupe. He was tempered and tested in the harsh environment of the war. In May 1949, he entered Shanghai with the army. From then on, whenever the National Day salute roared, the national anthem was loud, the crowd was like a tide, and the red flag was like the sea, he would be so excited that tears filled his eyes. Life is the source of creation. The past of his long-term fighting life and the course of his growth under the red flag flashed before his eyes like a movie. His blood is boiling, his heart is stirring, he can't sleep at night, and his thoughts are pouring in. He decided to write an orchestral work with founding ceremony as the background, which is magnificent, beautiful and powerful and loved by the people. After a week of hard work day and night, excited tears accompanied him to finish writing Ode to the Red Flag. In May of that year, Ode to the Red Flag was successfully premiered at the opening ceremony of the 6th Shanghai Spring. For example, Lv Qiming, who is over 7 this year, said, "Ode to the Red Flag has not been forgotten by people for 36 years, which has inspired me deeply: composers should praise the times and the cause of the party through lifelong efforts!"
