Level 8 is the highest and is referred to as the "Emperor's Examination" by the Joint Committee of the Royal Conservatoires of Music.

At present, the Emperor's Examination is one of the largest and most authoritative music examinations in the world, and its examination certificates are widely recognized around the world.
