School Introduction:

Hengyang Normal University, referred to as "Hengyang Normal University", is located in Hengyang City, Hunan Province. It is a full-time ordinary public school in Hunan Province approved by the Ministry of Education. An undergraduate institution of higher learning, it belongs to Hunan Province’s “Double First-Class” high-level applied colleges. It was selected into the “Hunan Province 2011 Plan” and the first batch of new engineering research and practice projects of the Ministry of Education. It is a member of the National “University of Applied Technology (College) Alliance” .

The history of the school began with the Hunan Government South Road Normal School founded in 1904. In March 1999, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Hengyang Normal College and Hengyang Education College merged to form Hengyang Normal College. In February 2001, Hunan Province Third Normal School was merged. In 2006, the school completed the Ministry of Education’s undergraduate teaching level evaluation with excellent results. In May 2018, the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council approved the school as a master's degree-granting unit.
