A Bing, formerly known as Hua Yanjun, a folk musician, was born in 1893 in a small four-room in Dongting, Wuxi. A Bing lost his mother when he was a child and was raised by his aunt. At the age of 8, he worked as a Taoist priest with his father in Leizun Hall. I began to study in a private school for three years, and then learned drums, flutes, erhu, pipa and other musical instruments from my father. At the age of 12, he has been able to play a variety of musical instruments, and often participates in activities such as confessing, chanting and playing music. At the age of 18, he was praised as an expert in Wuxi Taoist music. 21-year-old suffering from eye disease, poor family unable to cure, 35-year-old blind, singing and playing musical instruments along the street in Wuxi for a living, often writing and singing current affairs news. Singing in the paddock in front of Chong'an Temple Sanwanchang Teahouse every afternoon. After the fall of Wuxi, A Bing took refuge in his hometown Dongting, Wuxi, and the northern dry country of Jiangyin, and soon went to Shanghai to work as a pianist in Kunqu Opera Banxianni Society, playing Sanxian.
in 1939, Hua yanjun returned to Wuxi city and went back to his old job. A Bing made a living purely by singing. He never looked like begging for mercy. He struggled in darkness and poverty for decades. His feelings about the painful life were reflected in his music, instead of being down and out because of the hardships and hardships of life. On the contrary, his music revealed a healthy and deep atmosphere from the bottom of the people. A Bing condensed his life into immortal works such as Two Springs Reflecting the Moon.
In 195, Hua Yanjun died of illness on December 12th, and was buried in the Taoist cemetery next to Mingyang Temple in Canshan, Wuxi. In April, 1983, he was moved and buried by Yingshan Lake in Xihui Park. In November 1993, a bronze statue of A Bing was erected in front of the tomb. A Bing's former residence, located in the east of Wuxi Chong'an Temple, was also opened in January 1994.
