The eighteen major sets of Chaozhou gongs and drums are: "The Prime Minister of the Six Kingdoms", "Guan Gong Passes the Five Passes", "Qin Qiong Inverts the Bronze Flag", "Hong Mai Chasing the Boat", "Ten Immortals and Bright Peach" "Hui", "Yue Fei's Battle at Niutoushan", "Resurgence of China", "Throwing Nets to Fish", "Chen Chunsheng Sues the Official", "Sanxiu Fan Lihua", "Xue Gang's Grave Sacrifice", "Eighteen Widows March to the West", " "Huang Feihu's Anti-Chao Song", "Green Robes Throwing Hairpins", "Eight Immortals Celebrating Birthday", "Blessings from Heavenly Officials", "Double Biting Goose" and "Chicken Troubles".
The structure of traditional suites is complex and not focused enough. When people perform nowadays, they often greatly reduce the original music materials and select the main tunes and singing styles for instrumental music processing. For example, "Guan Gong Passes Five Passes" originally had thirteen tunes and interspersed gongs and drums sections. The new version compiled and adapted by the Chaozhou Folk Music Research Group is: (1) Missing Brother, (2) Seal of Gold and Hanging Seal, (3) Wilderness Riding a horse, (4) Fanyu fragrant tea, (5) passing a level and defeating generals, (6) playing drums at the end.
