1. Sign a production agreement
Normally, some customer units will consult with us about corporate image songs or industry themes based on the need to create and promote corporate culture. Regarding song creation, both parties can sign a production agreement and start work after reaching an agreement on the theme and cost.
2. Preliminary preparation (style collection and songwriting)
After signing the agreement, we will cooperate with the client unit to carry out style collection work according to the content of the agreement, with the purpose of deepening the working environment of the client unit. Undertake detailed understanding, full communication and personal experience of all aspects of their work, so that the works can be close to life and in line with the corporate culture and industry themes of the client unit. Usually, those who participate in the collection are lyricists, composers, and producers.
3. Creation and modification
After the collection is over, the lyricist completes the lyrics creation task within the specified time, and finalizes the lyrics after soliciting the opinions of the client and making modifications. Next, the composer will compose the music based on the lyrics. During this period, the first draft will be made into a sample for the client to review and provide suggestions for modification. After the composer has revised the final draft, the related production will begin.
4. Music Production
After getting the finalized song, the music producer will first orchestrate the band accompaniment according to the song style (such as orchestra style, electroacoustic band style, National band style or mixed band style, etc.) and a band score. Then based on the score, computer music production and recording of real musical instruments and vocal accompaniment were performed. Then perform a preliminary mixdown on the recorded accompaniment for the next step.
5. Recording and Mixing
After the accompaniment is completed, it is the vocal recording stage. According to the singing form of the song, the corresponding singer will be notified to come and record. Whether it is a male or female chorus, a lead chorus, a small chorus, a duet, a solo, etc., the singers are organized and recorded according to the singing form determined by the composer.
After the vocal (singer) recording is completed, it’s time to proceed to the next step of mixing. In layman’s terms, it means mixing the previously recorded accompaniment and the currently recorded vocal for each part. The volume is balanced to achieve the harmonious effect of the band and the singer.
6. Mastering
This is the last link in the entire creation process, and it is also the most important link. It is to put the previously mixed songs into an overall level. A series of fine adjustments such as thickness, timbre, balance, reverberation, width, volume, etc. make the final product conform to the listening habits of most people.
7. Delivery of finished products
After the master tape is completed, it can be delivered to the customer unit in accordance with the agreement. Generally speaking, the song version will include two versions: the singing version and the accompaniment version. The former is used for display and the latter is used for accompaniment of unit employees' singing.
