Teacher Yao Zhangjian graduated from Xi'an Conservatory of Music and studied bamboo flute under the famous Chinese flute player Ma Di and Li Zhen, Deng Bangguo. In recent years, he has been working in a municipal-level professional performing group and has participated in many recordings and videos of provincial and municipal large-scale events and evening parties. He has performed twice at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing and at the Chang'an Grand Theater in Beijing. He also went to Singapore to perform with Beijing Yihai Media Co., Ltd. He once served as a national wind and wind player in the Zhouli Orchestra; an external flute teacher at the Music Department of Baoji University of Arts and Sciences. Currently a flute teacher at Ganzhou Youth Activity Center.
