The Great Dao is above the Tai Chi but not high; it is below the six poles but not deep; it is innate to heaven and earth but not permanent; it is longer than the ancient times but not old. ————"Zhuangzi"
Wow, that's so cool! The Tao is simple, Yin and Yang Bagua, the knowledge is so profound. Practicing Tai Chi is like studying Chinese traditional culture. In the park, by the pool, under the shade of a tree, lunge, hold the ball, push hands, turn your waist, and do a slow punch, Xianfeng Tao Bones, cranes dancing with chickens, that's an unfathomable thing!
I don’t know since when, Tai Chi has become a fashion. Chen style, Yang style, Wu style, twenty-four and forty-two exercises can be seen everywhere. To strengthen the body and promote Chinese martial arts, the Tai Chi performance at the opening ceremony of the 2008 Olympic Games pushed Tai Chi to the extreme, as if a Chinese person only needs to know it twice.
But does anyone know what real Tai Chi looks like? Can Tai Chi push hands represent Tai Chi? How do real Tai Chi masters practice boxing?
It is said that Tai Chi originated from Zhang Sanfeng of Wudang Mountain. I won’t go into details about how powerful it is. After 1949, the National Sports Commission unified and adapted it into gymnastics, martial arts performances, and sports competitions for physical fitness. After the reform and opening up, it was further divided into Tai Chi for martial arts competitions, Tai Chi for gymnastics, and Tai Chi Push Hands.
In a word, Tai Chi has changed from a martial art to a broadcast exercise, which has increased its popularity and the promotion has been very successful. There are a lot of old ladies and old men practicing Tai Chi on the street, but they are in vain. It has its appearance.
My mother goes to the community to practice the forty-two Tai Chi poses every day, and she became a leader. I run every day, my husband stands every day, and my son practices boxing every day. Guess who has the strongest hands and the best martial arts. Who is it?
After Tai Chi became popular, the people who practiced it most were retired elderly people, but they did not develop peerless martial arts. The mystery of Tai Chi gradually faded, and people also had many misunderstandings about Tai Chi. .
Let’s put it this way, Tai Chi was originally a postgraduate course that required undergraduates who had practiced Xingyi Quan, Bagua Quan and other undergraduates to learn it. Now it has been changed to a primary school course and universal education, and both form and spirit have been lost.
How can we practice Tai Chi well when the most critical inner part is gone? It's like yoga, which focuses on training the mind, and Pilates, which only focuses on the body. No matter how well you practice Tai Chi, if you don’t have inner strength, you won’t be able to produce real skills.
Is there any improvement in practicing inner strength? There really is, it’s just zhanzhuang.
Chen Jisheng, the martial arts master of the generation, studied with his grandfather since he was a child. Before practicing martial arts, he must practice his waist and legs for three years before practicing martial arts. The same is true for Chen Jisheng's disciples. Before becoming a master, he must stand for three years, which is both a test and a challenge. Basics of practice. Those who can stand for three years have developed good kung fu.
My husband started standing in the stance, and he stood there every day for five years. His face was glowing, his agility was agile, his lower body was steady, and his hands were amazing. The stance was really a shortcut to practicing martial arts.
Why should you start practicing Tai Chi with standing postures?
Tai Chi Kung Fu emphasizes the unity of nature and man, meditation and intention, natural breathing, neutrality and comfort, softness and slowness, arc-shaped movements, roundness and completeness, coherence and coordination, clear reality and reality, lightness and composure, and a balance of hardness and softness. If the lower body is unstable, the waist and legs are weak, the up and down are inconsistent, and the center of gravity is unstable, how should I start practicing?
As the saying goes, "Essence is born from the soles of the feet" and "People age first in their legs." Therefore, whether the legs have strength is crucial to the restoration of human vitality. Zhanzhuang is one of the most effective ways to exercise waist and leg strength and stabilize your mental mood.
What is the Wuji pile? To put it simply, it means "standing at attention".
Why should we stand on the simplest Wuji pile? Nonsense, you don’t want to run even if you leave? Even if I give you a difficult move, you won’t be able to do it, let alone persist.
The path to simplicity, return to simplicity, the simpler, the closer to nature, remove all body movements, adjust the body, breath, mind, awaken the body's potential, plus it is easy to use, It’s easy to stick to, so it’s the best starting point for novices.
What are the essentials for standing the Wuji Zhuang?
First of all, you have to find a comfortable place and check the direction. It faces east in the morning, south in the afternoon and north in the evening. In short, don’t face west.
How do you call it comfortable? Firstly, it must be quiet. No one will disturb you if you stand for an hour. It is a place where you can meditate. Secondly, it must be safe. It must be dry, cool, ventilated and clean even if it is windy, rainy, thundering and lightning. The third thing is to have the right aura. It doesn’t work in a place where the aura is not suitable for you to stand there feeling flustered or irritated.
On a sunny day, you can find a large upright tree outdoors, about one meter away from it, find a flat place, get close to it, and breathe and exchange aura. You can usually practice alone in your bedroom or study at home, with the door closed.
The time for zhanzhuang is also particular. The best time is midday of the day, that is, 11-12 noon or 11-12 midnight. Yin and yang alternate and the vitality gradually rises. At this time, zhanzhuang can get twice the result with half the effort. . Of course, other times are also possible, but it is best to set a fixed time for standing every day.
The standing posture of Wuji Zhuang is "standing at attention": the body stands naturally, keeping upright, the heels of the feet are together, the hands hang down naturally, the fingers are together and slightly bent, the tongue is on the roof of the mouth, the waist is raised, and the Baihui point is Gently lift it up, look straight, close your eyes slightly, maintain abdominal breathing, and enter the state of "empty collar and strength, Qi sinking in Dantian, mind calm and body relaxed".
The most important thing about zhanzhuang is to meditate, put down distracting thoughts, enter the state of "empty", think about nothing, and an hour passes in the blink of an eye.
But it's easier said than done. Once you stand still, all thoughts arise, like thousands of horses galloping, and you can't stop. What should you do? It’s not difficult. Blocking is worse than sparing. It’s like how to control floods in Da Yu. You can simply dig a channel and go straight to the sea. The floods have their own path and direction, and the power of the prehistoric times converges into the sea. Everything is OK. The idea is the same. Find a happy thing to think about, such as a trip with friends. The scenery is so beautiful. Let the body and mind be immersed in the beautiful memories, and the mind will naturally calm down.
So, standing in a stance while watching TV is a punishment for standing, not standing in a stance. If you must listen to music, classical folk music without lyrics and gentleness, the lighter the better, it seems to be there but nothing.
The zhanzhuang must be stood alone. We don’t do wholesale. The influence of each other’s atmosphere will only be harmful. Zhanzhuang will open people's pores and increase their sensitivity to the outside world several times. The environment must be guaranteed to be free of disturbance. If conditions permit, please bathe and change clothes, burn agarwood, listen to Sanskrit music, and then stand still.
How long do you stand there? Generally between 40 minutes and 60 minutes, stand for no less than 40 minutes every day. If you stand for less than 40 minutes, there will be no effect and you will miss the mark. If you stand for more than 60 minutes, it depends on your personal physique. If you are too tired, it will affect the effect of standing the next day. You can start practicing from five to ten minutes and slowly increase it. What matters is not how long you stand in a day, but how many days you can hold on.
Don’t talk to me about diligence. Have you started standing? How long have you been holding on? Come to me again after three years. It’s not that I won’t teach you. The key is whether you really practice and work hard.
After three years of standing here, I will teach you real Tai Chi and fulfill your dream of becoming a martial arts master. Don’t believe it, I guarantee that Wang Baoqiang will not be your opponent!
