Development history of Guangdong People's Broadcasting Station: Guangdong People's Broadcasting Station, referred to as Guangdong Radio for short, was piloted on October 18, 1949 and started broadcasting on October 2, 1949. It is located in Guangdong Broadcasting Center, 686 Renmin North Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, and is a member of Southern Radio, Film and Television Media Group. Its current director is Zeng Shaohua.
The radio station makes its own programs for 137 hours every day, and there are nine channels covering the whole province with FM and MW. The program is broadcast in Cantonese and Mandarin. Some broadcasts cover Jiangxi Province, Hunan Province, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Fujian Province, parts of Hainan Province and Hong Kong, Macao and other places.
