Because both of his parents were choir leaders, he began receiving classical music vocal training at a very young age and started playing the piano at the age of 5.

After entering junior high school, he joined the wind club and started playing the flute. He loved singing very much and felt like "swimming in the ocean of music" when singing.

Graduated from Chiba Prefectural Kimitsu High School in general subjects, enrolled in the Communication Education Course of Keio University Faculty of Law, and then dropped out.

In 1990, in the summer of his freshman year of high school, he joined the Japan Broadcasting and Acting Research Institute under ARTSVISION.

During the voice actor training center, I often didn’t even have time to change my clothes after school, so I would go to class in my high school uniform. After my voice actor training was over, I would take the last train home late at night. During the later recordings, I would mostly wear my uniform. When I participated in dubbing for the first time, I knew nothing about anything.
