Celtic music

Celtic music is music from the Celts. Celtic originally lived in some tribal groups in Central and Western Europe around 1 BC, and came to England after a long migration. Today, their descendants are scattered all over Ireland, Wales, northern Scotland and western mountains. Celts include Irish, Scottish Highlanders, Welsh and Cornish. Most of them speak bilingual-English and their native language (Gaelic or Celtic). Apart from the study of writing or cultural relics, the most direct way is to listen to their music. Typical Celtic flavor, ancient and well-established, you can hear violins, bagpipes, small harps or accordions with two bellows. In the British Isles, in the American continent, as long as there are descendants of Celtic immigrants on the land, you can find such music.

highland bagpipe:

Bagpipes originated in ancient Rome. When the Roman army invaded Great Britain, they took them with them. Hundreds of years before Scots fell in love with bagpipes, bagpipes were already English musical instruments. At the end of 13th century, for example, Edward I of England's army invaded Scotland in the sound of bagpipes. Dugard McNeill, Dean of Bagpipe College in Edinburgh, Scotland, said: "Bagpipes used to be everywhere in Europe, and bagpipers were often seen in rural landscape paintings in Brussels."

Later, many other nationalities gradually lost interest in bagpipes, and only Scots had a special liking for bagpipes. Today, although bagpipes have taken root in some parts of the world, for example, there are bagpipers in the Jordanian army, and they are quite popular in Japan, the United States and other places. But when it comes to this instrument, everyone still thinks of the Scots. Jackie Stewart, an outstanding racing driver in Scotland, spoke from the heart of most of his compatriots: "No matter how many countries in the world have bagpipes, bagpipes must be a traditional national instrument representing Scots."

Irish harp (Celtic harp):

Irish harp, or Celtic harp (called "clarsach" in Celtic). About 9 cm high and 55 cm wide. Traditional Irish harpists play with their fingernails. Legend has it that if a player's performance annoys the listener, his nails will break.

Bard Dance:

Bard Dance was a very important figure in ancient Celtic. His first job was to praise the monarch, entertain the assembly groups, sometimes praise and sometimes ridicule, and be with monks, soldiers and silversmiths. He represented the incarnation of ancient Celtic. In the game, the bard Edward played the harp to mourn his lover.

prevailed in the 199s, and traditional Celtic music is not Celtic music in a broad sense. In fact, it has the style of the earliest folk songs and pure music, which is the kind of pure music that has not been influenced by new age music and pop music, which is the characteristic that distinguishes it from contemporary Celtic music.

Celtic in the new century

Celtic music in the new century is produced by Celtic theme melody, instrumental music and songs, plus the products and emotions of the new century. Clannad and Enya are typical representatives of this genre, but they are not just artists who stick to this kind of music. This dreamy and aura-filled music came into the mainstream from Enya's "Watermark" album in the late 198s, and gradually flourished in the 199s.

Pop Celtic Music

Pop Kay. Compared with traditional Celtic music, Celtic music is similar in many aspects. Popular folk songs in the United States and England have their own characteristics-when the melody (probably the melody of an instrument) is really unaffected, in the core part of popular folk songs, music follows the popular principles, but not completely divorced from the traditional form. This style was mainly formed in the 198s. During the 197s, in order to revive the traditional Irish folk songs, artists who have been engaged in strong folk songs began to gradually mix rock and pop elements into the original music (although some major artists like Pogues didn't think so). Just as the fans in the new century began to discover this kind of limited, aura and elegant Celtic music, popular Celtic music gradually went mainstream, absorbing comprehensive and standard instrumental music based on hearing (but Celtic remix artists really don't think so). Capercaillie and Clannad are the main bands belonging to this genre and performing arts style.

Rock Celtic

Like Pogues band with punk and orchestral styles from new york, There is also the Black 47 band from Cranberries, which is influenced by Irish music with a little Celtic style. Artists engaged in rock Celtic combine traditional Irish instrumental music with rock rhythm to create songs that are almost crazy and passionate, sad and romantic. Rock Celtic music usually clearly shows the characteristics of Irish bar music, but it also has the nature of pop music, which is a kind of straw harvesting from R & B and selective rock music.
