Jia Shijun. Jia Shijun (1930-September 4, 2011) was born in Nanjing in 1930. His ancestral home was Shanxian County, Shandong Province. He was a famous tenor singer. He has been the lead singer in the music and dance epic "The East Is Red" and the Long March suite "The Red Army Is Not Afraid of the Difficulties of the Expedition". His representative works include "Return from Target Shooting", "I Riding a Horse Across the Grassland", and "The Beautiful Solo River". In 1964, he won the Actor Award at the Third Chinese People's Liberation Army Art Festival for singing "Warriors Sing the East Is Red". Passed away due to illness at 9:48 am on September 4, 2011, at the age of 81.
