What is Baroque music? Where can I download it?

Baroque music refers to a musical style that was popular in Europe from the late 16th century to the mid-18th century. The word "Baroque" comes from Portuguese, and its original meaning is "out of round pearl". German art historians in the 19th century used it to refer to an artistic style popular in Europe in the 17th century that tended to be luxurious, exaggerated, and pursued momentum and ups and downs.

Baroque music is characterized by expressive melody; a polyphonic music texture that highlights the main melody is integrated into a polyphonic music texture with relatively independent parts, and the continuo bass is generally used; and harmonies are used. The continuo bass played by the vocal and bass instruments and the varied upper voice melody restrict and echo each other, forming a polarized sound space full of tension. The main musical genres formed by the composition principles of Baroque music include opera, oratorio, three-part sonata, concerto grosso, solo concerto, variations on dance and song melodies, improvisations played on the keyboard represented by toccata, Organ chorales and fugues, church sonatas and chamber sonatas developed from Italian violin music, classical suites, orchestral suites, etc.
