Tsinghua University does not have a music department.

According to information from Baijiahao, only those in the art category can enter the Academy of Fine Arts, and those in the music category can only enter Tsinghua University through their artistic expertise. The school is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of China and directly managed by the central government at the deputy ministerial level. It ranks among the "World-Class Universities and First-Class Disciplines", "211 Project", and "985 Project", and was selected into the "2011 Plan" and "Everest". Plan”, “111 Plan”, and “Strengthening Foundation Plan”.
