What is the musical style of Prism Band?

Prism is not disgusting, they are a good band.

Prism Band was established in Chengdu in 2015. The band members are two brothers: Chen Hengguan (Jan) and Chen Hengjia (Kaka). Chen Hengguan is 6 years older than his younger brother and is the band's main creator and producer; Kaka is responsible for mixing, recording, and arranging.

There are currently twenty works produced, and each one is very enjoyable to listen to.

When I listen to their songs, I don’t feel particularly strong emotions, and there is a sense of “incompetence” that is incompatible with the world. Chen Hengguan himself also feels light, pure, and not greasy.

Chen Hengguan said: "The Prism Band records the story of everyone who lives seriously. I hope that through the prism, you can become you."

Pure Past

Prism band founder Chen Hengguan came to Chengdu in 2012. His job was as an aircraft mechanic at Chengdu Shuangliu Airport. The work system was one day off and two days off, and the working day was a full 24 hours.

Like many dreamers who yearn for freedom, he resists all solidification and frameworks.

The complicated interpersonal relationships and irregular schedule made him exhausted physically and mentally. Being tired of repetition was a huge drain, so he could only practice musical instruments in his spare time and find time to sing in bars to practice his singing skills.

In December 2014, he performed his first solo performance in his life. He is an introverted boy who dresses plainly and wears thin-rimmed glasses. His tall figure is devoted to the keyboard. He plays and sings to himself on the stage. He is gentle, shy, and his eyes are downcast. He occasionally glances at the audience's reaction and then immediately avoids it.

After the performance, he said: "Although I am just average at singing and playing the piano, once I start doing something, I will continue to do it, because music has now become my favorite thing to do. "It's a matter of fact." At that time, he already had a choice in his heart.

As Maugham said: "Chasing dreams is chasing one's own misfortune. On the street where sixpence was everywhere, he raised his head and saw the moonlight."
