Self-study piano method

The most important thing to teach yourself the piano is perseverance. Metaphorically, it's a bit like practicing long-distance running, and sometimes it can be quite frustrating. But don't worry, you can learn. The following is the method of self-learning piano for everyone.

first, the entry stage

there is no classification in the entry stage.

Learn the music score first, or learn the music score while playing. If possible, learn the basic knowledge of music, such as rhythm, music score and so on (it's not difficult at all. I joined a wind band before, and the teacher explained all the common basic knowledge in about one class, and there are many students who don't know the music score at all)

1? Thompson's Simple Piano Course (Xiao Tang, for short)

Features: the enlightenment textbook is suitable for children to learn piano (such as the former landlord), and the progress is slow and easy. In recent years, China's piano learning has become younger, so Xiaotang has gradually replaced Baie as the first introductory book, which adults can skip.

2. ★ Basic piano course in Byer

Features: Real zero foundation, which not only teaches reading music, but also teaches some basic music knowledge, is necessary for getting started. Children can almost begin to worship after playing Xiao Tang 2 or 3.

The disadvantage is that it's boring, and it's not very pleasant to listen to. The advantage is that it's structured. For adults, even if they just read through it once, they will gain a lot while playing, so even if they feel bored, please endure the sex bullet and make the greatest progress in the least time!

3. John? Thompson's Modern Piano Course (referred to as "Da Tang") Volume 1

Features: Both are truly zero-based, and they also teach the basic knowledge of music, and generally start practicing at the same time as Baie. Different from Baie, each knowledge point is accompanied by beautiful small music, which is more suitable for children or gradual people and takes more time than Baie. Adults can pick a few bombs at will to please themselves.

someone on the internet compares:? Just like children drink milk when they are young, but when they grow up, they eat soft staple food and vegetables. Small soup is like drinking milk, worship is the staple food, and big soup is the vegetable? , more appropriate.

4. Children's Piano Finger Practice (Author: Li Feilan)

I don't seem to see anyone recommending it on the Internet, but I found an awesome teacher in the years when I was preparing for the entrance examination for special students, and she kept asking me to play this book, which really worked.

Features: Basic skill practice, suitable for students who have higher requirements for themselves. If I remember correctly, there are scales and arpeggios.

5. ★ Hanon's piano fingering

is not in the first place because it doesn't teach musical notation or basic knowledge.

Features: From beginners to pianists, as long as you play the piano, your piano career is inseparable from this book, and no matter how many languages can describe the importance of Hanon!

I like playing Hanun best now. I can't get tired of playing for an hour, and I have a feeling of meditation ~

For adults, the time and frequency of practicing the piano can't be guaranteed. When you haven't touched the keys for a long time, playing a piece of Hanun is like suddenly drinking a pulse on a tired day, and you will suddenly get your feeling back!

6. Schmitt's piano finger practice

Features: The complex version of Hanon has basic training such as scales and arpeggios. You can practice this if you are preparing for the exam.

7. Piano practice every day (Author: E.M. burnham)

Features: super simple, self-taught, slow progress, suitable for middle-aged and elderly people.

Second, the primary stage

(1) Etudes (basically Cherny)

1. ★ Preliminary Piano Course of Cherny (Op. 599)

Features: I don't remember the details, but it's a watershed work before and after the introduction. There are still basic explanations and practical new skills in it. The pianist must practice 599.

For adult lovers, it is basically enough to play 599 books technically.

2. cherny's simple piano etudes (op. 139)

features: I haven't played this before? But there are recommendations on many lists?

3. ★ Cherny's fluent piano etude (Op. 849)

Features: It is another watershed, a landmark work. After playing 849, you can basically enter the intermediate stage. As the name implies, 849 has started to demand higher speed. In addition, with the addition of some emoji, the etude is not just a simple etude, and it is better to pop up some musicality.

Adult fans can play some selectively according to their own level, especially when the speed of the music they play is difficult, they can practice 849.

4. Cherny's left-handed piano etude (Op. 718)

Features: practicing the left hand. According to the barrel effect, in the process from the primary stage to the intermediate stage, the short board of left hand is often fatal, so it is necessary to practice left hand. Left-handed people don't have to practice, others suggest choosing some of them to practice (there are 24 songs in one * * *).

(2) Polyphonic music

First of all, you need to know what polyphonic music is.

1. Bach's Elementary Piano Music Collection

Features: In fact, it can be put into the etude, because this is the etude of polyphonic music, as an introductory book to start polyphonic music. It's very nice, and if you think it's particularly nice, congratulations, you are the right person to appreciate Bach!

By the way, this is an etude written by Bach for his wife ~

2. Bach's Prelude and Fugue

Features: This is a book arranged by later generations, some of which were written by Bach for his son, some by Bach's friends, and some of which were selected from Bach's other works, so it can be regarded as a formal contact with polyphonic music.

I've only played one song in it, so I won't comment on it.

(3) Large-scale music

1. Small sonata (collection) (Editor: Koehler)

Features: A collection compiled by predecessors for beginners, including Beethoven and Mozart, and (if I remember correctly) excerpted movements suitable for beginners.

If you have a teacher, the teacher may arrange for you to play some other sonatas, but if you don't have a teacher, just practice the above one. Because as a beginner, we can't hold a whole large piece of music at all, and we are not sure which movement in a large piece of music is suitable for playing, and Sonata is a very classic version, which is enough to meet everyone's needs.

(4) Small music

1. John? Thompson's modern piano course (soup) has 2-5 volumes

Features: from the shallow to the deep, step by step, with a large number of adapted versions of world famous songs in the later period, with text introduction, suitable for children and general education. I seem to have only played 2.

2. ★ 25 advanced piano exercises by Bouguemuller

Features: Needless to say, classics are especially nice! Unlike Chopin and others' beautiful or bitter tunes, this work is very lively, and I think that this kind of lightness and ethereal spirit has the aura of the piano (of course, Chopin, known as the piano poet, may be more suitable for this sentence, but the piano learner at this stage can't control Chopin, and the landlord's ability is not high, and he can't control Chopin all the time, so I won't say anything flattering Chopin later, but Chopin's historical position is there, and no one can shake it) For adult lovers, the style of this kind of music is also more suitable for the music they usually play.

3. ★ Collection of world children's piano masterpieces (by A.E. Weil)

Features: It is also a collection of masterpieces adapted by famous artists, and you can experience the beauty and rhyme of music, whether you are cultivating interest or pretending. Adult fans can choose some famous songs they like on weekdays to practice the simplified version, and they can show off at key moments.

4. ★ Any piano four-handed music collection

At this stage, you can play some four-handed music. For adult lovers, whether they want to make a girl or chase a man, stir up the base or lily, as long as the other person knows the piano, they can play a song!

5. ★ Piano Basic Course (Shanghai Music Publishing House) Volume 1~2

Features: A relatively classic music collection arranged by China people, which contains many classic China works, such as the shepherd boy piccolo and the colorful clouds chasing the moon (in Volume 4). Anyway, because my parents liked it (and could understand it), I practiced a lot of songs in it.

third, the intermediate stage

(1) Etudes

1. Cherny's piano etudes (Op. 299)

Features: the beginning of the intermediate stage, a landmark work.

2. Franz Klammer's 6 piano etudes

I haven't played them, and the difficulty is between 299 and 74.

3. Cherny's Piano Finger Dexterous Etudes/Cherny's Piano Etudes (Op. 74)

Features: Hardy bones can basically enter the advanced stage (that is, the level of the performer) when chewed down. The landlord is stuck here at present. The biggest difficulty is that the speed requirement of this etude has been greatly improved, and the fingers can't keep up. The landlord is considering whether to practice the 6 pieces of Franz Klammer-

(II) Polyphony Music

1. Bach: Two Creative Pieces (15 pieces)

Features: Although reading the score is very simple, it is completely different when you play it.

2. Bach: three creative songs (15 songs)

Features: Compared with the second part, it has reached a higher level.

3. Bach: French Suite (5+1)

Features: The names mentioned by later generations are obtained because the style of the works resembles French flavor. It consists of Alemand, Kurante, Salaband and jig, and can also be inserted with minuets and gavotes.

It's really Bach's door to bounce here.

4. Bach: Simple pieces in the piano music collection with 12 equal rhythms (24+24 pieces)

Features: Piano music? Old Testament Bible?

As for Bach, I personally think that if you like it, you should play more, if you don't like it, you should play less. If you don't like it very much and don't need to take the exam, it doesn't matter if you don't talk about it at all.

although there is no doubt about Bach's classics, we are not specialized in studying classical music, so there is no need to face up to what we don't like? It's just a pity, because I personally like Bach very much, and I can't wait to play every piece of his French suite. If you can calm down and study Bach (yes, his music needs to be studied before you can play it), he will open the door to a new world for you.
