Music teaching method is one of the subject-based teaching methods, which can be applied to the relevant majors of the Music Department, the Conservatory of Music and the College of Education in normal universities and the compulsory courses in secondary normal schools. It is a teaching method to study the theory of music teaching and its application.
This teaching method is based on the syllabus of music teaching in primary and secondary schools, explaining the purpose, tasks and principles of compiling teaching materials for students, leading students to study the rules of music teaching, and discussing the teaching steps and methods in music theory, solfeggio, singing, instrumental music and music appreciation. Its main task is to cultivate the ability of normal students and in-service teachers to combine pedagogy and psychological principles with music professional knowledge and skills, so as to apply them to music education practice together.
