The Tokyo Mew Mew series originated from comics written by Yoshida Reiko and drawn by Masumi Miya. Miya Masaki and Reiko Yoshida first met during a visit to China at the Metropolitan Hotel. Reiko describes Mia as an interesting person at work, and Reiko is the administrator of this project.
