Pingju was sung by Li Yijun/Li Xuanxing, with lyrics of Lulu Lala and composer of Sun Zhengming. In the summer of 1967, when Sun Zhengming, the composer of Ping Ju, was studying in the Music Department of Taiwan Province Normal University, he happened to meet two girls from the Practitioner College and Tainan Home College at a music teacher's study activity in Taichung.

The story behind Ping Ju

The production of Ping Ju is quite interesting. In the late 196s, Sun Zhengming, a music student at National Taiwan Normal University, came across two girls. The two girls took out their own lyrics and asked Sun to compose music, saying that they would take them to participate in the song selection of "Salvation Corps". At that time, Sun Zhengming lost contact with a good friend with the word "Ping" in his name, so after composing music, he wrote this song.

This song is catchy, and in the early 198s, it became a "group song" for the National Salvation Corps to hold large-scale activities, and it was often sung by hundreds of people during the tour. In 1987, Li Hualing, an 18-year-old girl, became the first singer of Taiwan Province Huaxing Record Company. Huaxing changed her name to Li Yijun and published her first album "Ping Ju". Because of the mass base of this song, Li Yijun became popular as soon as she came out.
