The vocal music department of Wuhan Conservatory of Music is one of the earliest departments in Wuhan Conservatory of Music. In 1993, it was approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee and began to recruit master's degree students. Many students trained by the vocal music department have won prizes in international and domestic vocal music professional competitions.
