Plot summary
Li Dabao (played by Sha Yi) is a mechanic worker in a textile factory. His father passed away when he was a teenager, leaving behind his aunt, mother and five brothers and sisters. He helped his mother support the family. He chose to work directly after graduating from middle school and became a model worker and factory model in Beijing.
Zhang Duoduo (played by Xu Fanxi) is a dancer in the song and dance troupe. When visiting the textile workshop, Zhang Duoduo's hair accidentally got caught in the loom. At the critical moment, she was rescued by Li Dabao. . When reporting on the performance, Li Dabao accidentally bumped into Zhang Duoduo's colleague who was changing clothes and was locked up as a hooligan.
