4. Assisting the disabled as the leader of the Municipal Volunteer Federation Art Troupe

In 1998, on the first anniversary of the establishment of the Lianhua North Rehabilitation Station for the Disabled, a party was to be held. Cong Fei, who was already well-known at that time, was performing nearby. After the performance, a disabled friend begged Cong Fei to attend their party. Since then, he has become a caring and good friend of the 68 disabled people in the rehabilitation station. Sister Wu Miaochun, the webmaster, told reporters that for the past eight years, his program has always been indispensable during New Year's Day, Spring Festival, and Mid-Autumn Festival activities to help the disabled. At more than a dozen gatherings every year, these disabled people have become close friends with him. Once, Cong Fei was hospitalized due to stomach bleeding. When he received a call to perform for the disabled, he quickly asked the nurse to remove the IV and rush over. He sang songs one by one and performed magic, nose tricks and pantomime for everyone. Dozens of people present were all made to laugh by the pantomime "The Surgeon Performing Surgery". When the patient couldn't straighten up in pain during the performance, Cong Fei really couldn't hold it anymore, so he took advantage of the situation to fake it and took out the I swallowed the painkillers but still insisted on performing.

In the summer of 2001, Cong Fei received a call from Sister Wu of the rehabilitation station and learned that there was a Shanxi girl named Haixia at the rehabilitation station. On Christmas Day 2001, the rehabilitation center held a party. Disabled friends wanted to listen to Cong Fei’s songs. Webmaster Wu told him about Yan Xiaoyan, a 9-year-old boy suffering from hemophilia. After hearing this, Cong Fei gave his child 1,000 yuan for medical expenses without saying a word. Since then, Cong Fei, who already has a 4-year-old daughter, has had a "son". He often calls the little boy's home or rehabilitation center to inquire about the little boy's physical condition and study status. He said to the little boy: "I'm your godfather. If you need anything, call me!" Before Christmas, Cong Fei brought another Christmas gift to his child. When he opened it, he found that it was 1,000 yuan for the child's treatment.

5. Rescue out-of-school children

In 1994, during a condolence performance in Sichuan, Cong Fei met a group of children who were unable to go to school due to poverty. He donated 2,400 yuan on the spot. In January 2001, he went to Zhijin County, Guizhou Province with a charity performance with the Municipal Volunteer Federation. Every time Qin Haifan came to Shenzhen, Cong Fei would visit him. In October 2003, Qin Haifan was trapped in Shenzhen due to liver disease. Cong Fei went to Hong Kong to personally buy medicine for him, treat his illness, alleviate his pain, and enable him to return to China smoothly. Qin Haifan was very moved and happy.

In early 2003, when Cong Fei was performing and speaking at the Shenzhen C&E Center, a Henan girl who had been admitted to the shelter for prostitution had tears on her face. After talking to each other individually, it turned out that the girl studied ballet. She graduated from a college and had been dancing ballet for many years. Later, she went down a wrong path. Three months later, the girl was released from the shelter, and her parents and relatives were not allowed to enter the house. Alone and penniless, she had no choice but to live on the streets. Cong Fei found out about this, so he tried every means to find the girl and brought her home. At that time, many people advised Cong Fei not to take her in as it would ruin his reputation. But Cong Fei was worried. Because the house at home was too small, Cong Fei temporarily rented a house for her to live in outside. He also bought her new clothes and daily necessities, and gave her meals every day. Cong Fei took her around looking for a job every day, which finally put her on the right path.
