Fanquan direct shooting refers to when a boy band or girl group is performing, and fans or camera crews only film one person's performance throughout the performance.

Direct filming is divided into official and fan systems. In 2018, the first year of idol development, the creative form of official direct filming was used by the producers of idol development programs. From the perspective of its development, official direct shooting originated from the innovation and development of the classic Korean singing program "M! Countdown".
