Qing music, elegant music and Yan music are the classification of ancient music in China, and the main differences between them lie in the style, source and usage of music.

1. Qingle: Originated in the Three Kingdoms, the Jin Dynasty and the Southern and Northern Dynasties, it mainly refers to Qingshang Music, also known as Qingshang Music. It occupied a dominant position in the music life at that time and was a kind of traditional music. Qingle mode has added Qing Jiao and Gong Bian.

2. Yayue: Also known as elegant and pure music, it is an ancient traditional court music, which is mainly used for emperors' celebrations and sacrifices to heaven and earth. The system of elegant music was formulated in the early years of the Western Zhou Dynasty, and it became the internal and external pillar of aristocratic rule with the isomorphism of law and etiquette. The change of sign and palace are added to the gagaku mode.

3. Yanle: It refers to the Hu music since the Northern Dynasties, also known as feast music, which is a popular folk music. Yan Yue mode has added Qing Jiao and leap.
