Tilburg University is a very international university founded in 1927. It has been ranked among the best in Dutch and European business subject evaluations many times. In the monthly magazine of the European Economic Association in December 2003, Tilburg University ranked first in European economics research. Tilburg University has also been accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB: Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and is currently one of the 13 colleges in Europe that has been accredited by AACSB. The economics and quantitative economics majors at Tilburg University enjoy a high reputation in the Netherlands and even Europe. It has been certified by the European Economic Association as the No. 1 economics course among non-U.S. colleges and universities; ranked seventh in the world in the field of theoretical econometrics (ahead of Harvard University and Oxford University). The university's business courses ranked first in 2001. In April this year, it obtained the accreditation from the American Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), becoming one of the 13 departments in Europe to obtain this accreditation.

Every year, more than 600 students from various countries study at Tilburg University.
