Music Interpretation of Yanhuang Style

1. Chinese cabbage This is the first folk song I heard in my childhood-a long-standing song, which shows the tragic situation of a child who lost his mother being abused by his stepmother and his nostalgia for his biological mother. Based on the sad melody of this folk song, I use strings to depict the protagonist's attachment to the warm family in the past and the memories of the funeral scene for his mother. The melody in the middle part is re-created by me according to the tone of the Hebei folk song "Crying for the Five Watches", which contains sad sobs, helpless sighs and short-lived longings. When the melody returned to "Chinese Cabbage", the violin brought people to the vague dream of bad karma children's hope for heaven with its ethereal sound full of fantasy.

2. Cowboy

This is a rural song and dance, which was once compiled into a short play of Beijing Opera and Kunqu Opera and spread all over the country. In the morning, the sun is shining and the breeze is blowing, and the shepherd boy is playing a bamboo flute on the cow's back and walking out of the village leisurely. On the way, a beautiful village girl asked the shepherd boy for directions, and the shepherd boy said, "Who built Zhaozhou Stone Bridge? Who will leave the jade railing? Who rides on the donkey bridge? Who rolled a ditch with a cart? " A series of questions are answered by the village girl as a condition for guiding the way. The clever village girl answered questions one by one, and the two sang and danced, which was naive. The music expresses the humorous interest of asking and answering questions with the opposite timbre, and finally pushes the joyful atmosphere to a climax with the whole performance of the band.

3. Jasmine

Almost all parts of China, especially the eastern provinces, have "Jasmine" with different melodies and lyrics for a long time. I chose the melody of Jasmine, my ancestral home in Cangzhou, Hebei. This is an elegant, delicate, exquisite and euphemistic song, which shows the romantic feelings of a girl who uses jasmine as a metaphor and is full of fantasies about beautiful love. The melody of Jasmine, played successively by violin and viola, is sometimes serene, sometimes affectionate, and sometimes shows a ray of sadness in the girl's heart with dissonance chords. When another melody is duet with Jasmine, it is like an ode to love. Then, the music turned into meditation, and added a trace of melancholy at the end. 4. opposite flowers

"what flowers bloom in spring? In spring, winter jasmine blooms ... "Dialogues are a common form of folk songs, and asking questions about flower names in seasonal order is a common content in dialogues. The theme of this piece of music is "Duihua" in Cangzhou, Hebei Province, and the melody of another Cangzhou folk song "Flying a Kite" is in the middle. With changeable rhythm, opposite timbre and rich dynamic changes, the whole song depicts a scene of exultation and enthusiasm on the music field: a series of repetitive tones, like a bustling crowd shouting and cheering outside the venue. The adagio inserted in the middle is a dance scene in which a woman holding a bamboo board clapping and entering the stadium performs "falling lotus". 1. the river drips water

"The moon shines brightly, and I think of my elder brother in the deep mountains. My elder brother is walking like the moon in the sky, and the river drips water at the foot of the mountain." This is a Yunnan love song, which is full of emotions and scenes.

The music is based on the time (moonlit night) and space (by the river below the mountain) provided by the lyrics of the original song. It simulates the hazy moonlit night with the fuzzy sound in the high-pitched area of strings, and the flowing water of the river with the Ding Dong sound of piano, harp and piano. Beautiful English pipes and bright flutes have successively sung soft and moving melodies. When the music turns to all the strings playing in unison, the low voice imitates "Brother" and warmly responds with the same melody slowed down by twice, pushing the blazing love song to a climax.

2. release the horse folk song

"release the horse in the first month, and catch up with the horse to board the journey; In February, horses are released, and ponies are grazing and climbing along the mountain ... "This Yunnan folk song, which is spread all over the country, shows the generous character of the horses. In the music, percussion instruments and violins are used to simulate the sound of bells, hooves, whips and the shouts of riders. In the middle part, the leisurely and soothing rhythm and sweet and smooth melody of "Catch the Horse Tune" depict the scene of the rider resting on the way.

3. If the rain doesn't spill flowers, the flowers won't be red

"Elder brother is a dragon in the sky, and younger sister is a canopy on the ground. If the dragon doesn't turn over, it won't rain, and if the rain doesn't spill flowers, it won't be red.

"The lyrics of this Yunnan love song are pun, simple and affectionate; Melody mode is unique, tactfully moving, and has been widely circulated in various places. The music runs through the whole song with a triplet sound pattern symbolizing raindrops, and this beautiful and charming melody is played alternately with bassoon, clarinet and piccolo and stringed woodwind.

4. Guess the tune

This humorous Yunnan nursery rhyme shows the lively interest of sisters in asking questions and answering songs in a "tongue twister" rhythm: "Come on, little darling, let's guess for you: What grows, grows to heaven? Which is longer, in the middle of the sea? What, long street? What kind of long

sister? " "... the Milky Way is long and grows to heaven; Lotus root is long, in the middle of the sea; The silver thread is sold in front of the long street, and the silk thread is in front of the younger sister. " The bright timbre of woodwind instruments and the brisk rhythm of strings highlight the playful atmosphere of the melody, and the middle part quotes the beautiful melody of another Yunnan folk song "Anning Prefecture". 1. Girl Carrying Water

The theme of the music is a folk song in northern Shaanxi that reflects the miserable life of rural women in the old days. The whole song adopts the traditional variation genre, revealing the inner world of the suffering woman from many aspects. The theme and the first two variations are sad and sad. The third variation depicts the owner's melancholy and uneasy psychological activities, and the fifth variation shows her powerless struggle against the tragic fate. The last variation returns to the sad theme, and becomes more weak and slender-suffering is hard to get rid of.

2. Husband and wife are funny

"Say you are sloppy, you are really sloppy, and the gold thread on your head is so messy, damn it!" This duet depicts a playful scene in which a couple make fun of each other. Sanxian and Banhu symbolize a frolicking couple. The dissonance of the piano and the funny timbre of the small hall gong strengthen the comedy color of the music, and the opposition of chromatic tonality and the dislocation of the beat make the music full of humor. 3. Go to Jiangzhou

This song is popular in Shaanxi and Shanxi, which shows the happy mood of the hero who walks to Jiangzhou with a shoulder pole and sings a ballad. Banhu's melody is relaxed and pleasant, and the fixed tone of the violin is like the flickering vibration of the pole up and down. The whole song shows a beautiful rural picture. 4. Lanhuahua

Lanhuahua is a narrative song that originated in northern Shaanxi and spread throughout the country. The song strongly accuses the destruction of free love by arranged marriage in the old days, and praises the young woman Lan Huahua who rebelled against feudal ethics and pursued a happy marriage. However, in feudal society, she inevitably went to a tragic end at the expense of her life.

In the first part of the music, the sweet love between Lan Huahua and her lover is expressed with soft oboe and passionate cello. In the middle section, the violent majesty of the copper tube and the sorrowful cry of the string symbolize the resistance and anger of the orchid flower, and the wailing of the timpani and the gong indicates the tragic end. At the end of the music, the timpani played the theme dully, leaving the last faint call. 1. When did Sophora japonica bloom

Bashan and Shushui, which cultivated the hardworking, bright and humorous character of Sichuanese. This song "When Will the Sophora Flowers Bloom" is a typical Sichuan folk song. There are only four lyrics, but the scene is harmonious and meaningful: "There is a tree on the high mountain, holding the railing to look at Lang, and the mother asks her daughter what to look at, and I hope when the Sophora will bloom." Its melody is also very unique. From the highest tone of the whole song, each lyric is divided into two festivals, and the unique interlining of Sichuan folk songs is added, which is ups and downs and exciting.

The beautiful melody of this folk song is played by oboe, horn, string, flute and English pipe successively. Harmony is set off by another tonality, which depicts a picture of a mountain village with a distant view and a close view.

2. boxwood pole

This is a lantern tune in Xiushan, Sichuan, which shows a young man carrying a pole to deliver rice to Youzhou, but he is interested in observing the girl in Youzhou combing her hair and dressing up. The lyrics are witty, and the unique interlinings of Sichuan folk songs add to the sense of humor of the lyrics: "The boxwood pole is soft and slippery (Sister Harry), and a load of white rice goes down to Youyou Wow (Sister Harry)." The music depicts the tough image of the young man with a strong full play, and the middle part shows the carefree expression of the young porter when he is resting with a duet of a folk song.

3. Embroidering a purse

Embroidering a purse is a common theme in China folk songs, which shows the excitement and shyness of girls when embroidering a purse for their lovers. A purse is a cloth bag that a man ties around his waist to hold money and odds and ends. Women often give it to their lovers as a token of love. Among the folk songs "Embroidered Pocket", Sichuan, Shanxi and Yunnan are the most popular. The music begins with a string quartet, and then turns into a woodwind, with the decorative sliding of the harp and the colorful phrases of the flute, just like a flying needle in a girl's hand.

4. The sun shines brightly.

This is a hearty Sichuan folk song: "The sun shines brightly, so you can carry a pole up the hill and hold a mountain axe in your hand, not afraid of butch and jackal." The whole performance of the band runs through the whole song, with the rough cries of brass instruments, the transition of strings from depression to explosion, and the crazy tapping of timpani, which shows the masculinity of males. 1. No Tin Scenery

Wuxi, a famous city in the south of the Yangtze River, which is famous for Xishan, Huishan and Taihu Lake, has always been the source of inspiration for poets, painters and musicians. Famous songs with the theme of Wuxi, one is A Bing's "Two Springs Reflecting the Moon", and the other is the Jiangnan minor "No Tin Scene": "The second spring in the world, at the foot of Huishan Mountain, the spring water is clear, the tea leaves are fragrant, and Xishan is opposite to Huiquan Mountain, at the foot of the mountain, on both sides, open a clay Buddha shop." This orchestral music depicts the beautiful and charming lakes and mountains in Wuxi with delicate woodwind timbre and hazy string timbre. 2. Yangliuqing

This is a lively Yangzhou tune. "Yangliuqing" is a lining word in the original song and has no special meaning. The lyrics of this minor are not fixed, and humorous, funny and cheerful words are often filled in. The music adopts string plucking, starting from two parts and gradually turning to all string plucking, and the plucking simulates the rhythm of drums and gongs of folk percussion, which highlights the cheerful atmosphere and playful character of the music. 3. uprooting luchaihua

this is a Yangtian song in Jiangdu county, and "uprooting luchaihua" is the lining sentence of the original song. "When white rice is delicious, you should plant the seedlings, and when fresh fish soup is delicious, you should plant the nets ..." The music draws a beautiful picture of the south of the Yangtze River with the piano and flute playing the light melody of this Yangtian song, accompanied by string plucking and crisp tambourine. 4. Zizhu Tune

This was originally a popular street love tune in Suzhou, and later became a Shanghai Opera tune. Its lyrics have been modified by artists and become an implicit and interesting love song: "A purple bamboo goes straight to Vivi, and it is sent to my brother as a pipe flute, with the flute facing the mouth and the mouth facing the flute, and the flute blows out a flowering tune. Ask brother, is this a good pipe? " The music is composed of strings, erhu, pipa and Qu Di, and the crystal arpeggios of the harp are in harmony with it, which is quite the style of Jiangnan silk and bamboo. 1. going west

"going west" tells the story of people who lived in poor areas of the loess plateau in the past, leaving their homes to make a living outside their mouths. It is popular in northern Shanxi, Shaanxi and western Inner Mongolia. The content of "Walking to the West" in different places is similar, but the tunes are quite different. Here is the melody of Shanxi minor: "Brother, you go to the west entrance, but I can't stay with my little sister. I took my brother's hand and sent it to the entrance of the small village." The music vividly shows a pair of lovers' reluctant parting with their tearful string timbre and delicate polyphonic parts-----------there are lingering whispers, and where will you go is heartbroken. 2. Lantern Festival

"Lantern Festival is held on the fifteenth day of the first month, and the city of Taiyuan is very lively. The lights on one side play with dragons and the yangko on the other side is well twisted." This is a jubilant and warm Shanxi folk song, which shows people's cheerful mood on the night of the Lantern Festival. The music brings people to the atmosphere of the annual Lantern Festival with the introduction of brass pipes and the tune of suona. When people are immersed in the joy of the festival night, an affectionate "Embroidered Pocket" slowly flows into people's hearts: "The moon is high from the first day to the fifteenth day, and the spring breeze blows the willows." It shows the unique state of mind of "thinking twice about your relatives during the festive season". 3. Mountain climbing tune

Mountain climbing tune is popular in Hequ, Shanxi Province and Wuchuan, Inner Mongolia, also known as Shanqu. It is very similar to Xintianyou in northern Shaanxi in structure, and it is a loose-plate upper and lower sentence structure.
