Chen returned to Shanghai with the intention of marrying his childhood sweetheart (played by Miao Kexiu), but when he came back, he received the news that his master had passed away. He was very sad. The Hongkou Taoist Temple run by the Japanese sent people to Huo Yuanjia's public memorial ceremony and presented a plaque with the name "Sick Man of East Asia". Chen Zhen was not willing to be insulted, so he sent the banner back to the Hongkou Taoist Temple alone without telling his brothers. One against a hundred, with "Mystery" He defeated the Japanese with "Zongquan" and nunchucks; and smashed the "Dogs and Chinese are not allowed" sign in the park. At that time, Chen Zhen was in the public concession. Everyone at Jingwu Hall knew that Chen Zhen was in trouble and urged him to leave Shanghai for a while. Just the night before leaving, Chen Zhen accidentally discovered that there were two spies sent by the Japanese in the Jingwu Hall, and they were the culprits who poisoned the master. So after Chen Zhen killed the two of them, he changed his original intention and decided to stay in Shanghai to find out the mastermind and take revenge.
