1. Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts

Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, referred to as "Guangmei", is located in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. It is the only institution in South China approved by the Ministry of Education. The Higher School of Fine Arts has the right to confer master's degrees. It is also one of the first batch of professional degree-granting units for Master of Arts (MFA) announced by the State Council. It has been selected as the National College Student Cultural Quality Education Base and one of the eight major art academies in China.

2. Xinghai Conservatory of Music

Xinghai Conservatory of Music, located in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, has been selected as the National College Student Cultural Quality Education Base and the Ministry of Education’s General Colleges and Universities Excellent Traditional Chinese Culture (Cantonese Opera) Inheritance Base , is the only higher music professional institution in South China. In 1969, it merged with the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts to form the Guangdong People's Art Institute; in March 1978, it was renamed Guangzhou Music College; in June 1981, it was approved by the State Council and established as the Guangzhou Conservatory of Music; in December 1985, in memory of the Guangdong people's musician Xian Xinghai was renamed Xinghai Conservatory of Music.
