Introduction to tracks from the Golden Age

"Inadvertently": It tells the emotional story of two young people. I couldn't think clearly about the complicated feelings when I was alone. I had an impulse in my heart and wanted to meet her and explain it to her. On the way to find her, my mind suddenly broadened. It turned out that she had inadvertently occupied an important position in my heart.

"Barbarossa": "Barbarossa" is a historical allusion. It tells the story of an emperor named "Felet" in Germany in the 13th century. He was a heroic and warlike king, nicknamed "Barbarossa". "Red Beard" translates as "Barbarossa". This emperor died during a Crusade. But the name "Barbarossa" became known to the world during World War II. In 1944, Hitler launched the last imperial counterattack against Moscow. The codename of this battle was "Barbarossa". That historical story deeply moved Peng Tan, the lead singer of the Dada band, so he named the song "Barbarossa" for no particular reason. He felt that previous songs were all about what happened to him. But this time he hopes to broaden his horizons and write about things he knows.

"Wushuang": This song is actually the song with the longest recording time in the entire album, and it took more than ten hours to record. In terms of temperament, it is the only song that continues the style of the first album, and it is also the clearest and fastest-paced song. The music uses a lot of sound effects from the game, and the layering is very rich.

"Song F": Originally, the name of this song should be "Four Seasons", but later I felt that the name was too "real", so I changed its name to "Song F". It's a song that all the band members love. The lyrics are particularly visual, and the lead singer Peng Tan has done something different from the past in terms of vocals, including both speaking and singing, with a sense of narrative.

"Waiting": This song was recorded two years ago. At that time, the lead singer Peng Tan had a bad cold, and his voice completely changed, so much so that the mixing engineer fainted during the post-processing—— Because he had never heard such a voice before, his singing was just staggering. Later, I wanted to record it again, but everyone agreed that this cold version had a different flavor. Although we encountered many difficulties in the process of continuing to make the album after recording, everyone was moved every time they heard this song and gained motivational power from it. Everyone must listen.

"Say Goodbye at Midnight": A song about a one-night stand. When it gets dark, you can always see scenes on the streets of Beijing where either two people are getting along well or they are about to break up. This is an atmosphere that surrounds you. There are only two harmony sections in the whole song, the melody is very beautiful, and a lot of percussion and sound effects are added. When the lead singer Peng Tan sings, he mainly wants to create a feeling of humming in the listener's ears. It is the warmest song in the album. Every time you listen to it, you will feel like you haven't heard enough, because it ends the whole song in a way that ends abruptly at a certain section. While recording, they turned off the lights in the studio, took off their clothes and shoes, and then tried singing in various postures. It turned out that I felt the warmest when singing the first half of the song while squatting, and the most comfortable when singing while standing during the second half.

"Surfacing": "Surfacing" can be said to be the iconic song of this album. When writing "Waiting", the band was in a state of confusion and lack of direction. The whole band was depressed and listless in rehearsals. They felt that they could not write a song. However, after completing "Waiting", the band cheered up and Suddenly a lot of creative inspiration came to me, and I also had a general framework for the entire album, so "Come to the Surface" came into being.

"South": "Peng Tan's autobiography: One night last year, it suddenly rained in Beijing. The sound of the rain was very loud. I didn't close the window that day, and the damp feeling outside the window rushed to my face. It felt like... Just like in Wuhan, it reminds me of my days in the south. I wrote the lyrics of this song in a very short time. This is also the only song in the album that has lyrics first and then music." /p>

"Golden Age": The lyrics are a complete storyline.

I don’t know because I’m afraid of something/or because I feel it’s not sincere enough/facing the dark night supporting the sky/I started to become quiet/I used to shout/I used to be angry/supporting the black in front of me Sky/I was suddenly silent

"Radio Love": "Radio Love" is a song with a smooth melody, and the band also felt very good during rehearsals. However, I also encountered some difficulties during the creation. After the main melody of the song was completed, I found it particularly difficult to put the lyrics. Later, Peng Tan remembered a "private emotion" from junior high school. Their generation heard a lot of good music from the radio when they were in junior high school. At that time, the ignorant generation didn’t know what falling in love was. They only knew that there was a lot of good music coming from the radio every day, so they fell in love. After getting on the radio, I found that everything around me would be transmitted from the radio, and I gradually developed a "private" emotion towards the radio. Gradually, they all grew up, and suddenly they found that their attachment to the radio had changed, and everything around them had changed.
