The Color Purple is an episode of the movie The Story of Wukong sung by Tanya Chua.

Creative background

The movie The Story of Wukong was released in China on July 13th, 217, while the movie episode The Color Purple sung by Tanya Chua was officially released on July 14th. The song was inspired by the sad love story of the Monkey King and A Zi in the movie, and explained the deep regret that there was love in my heart but I didn't have time to be together.

The song is heavily invested in music and production. Tian Ding wrote the lyrics, Yusuke Hatano composed the music, and Guo Ding joined the producer. This is also the first cooperation between Tanya Chua and Guo Ding. They carefully polished the song, down to the expression of each lyric, and kept improving.
