Two orioles sing in the green willows, and a row of egrets climb into the blue sky? This is a poem by Du Fu, a poet of the Tang Dynasty. But this very poetic scene can be seen on the shores of Biyang Lake in Bijie City, my country. After the Biyang Lake gate is impounded, thousands of egrets will inhabit the forest lake, and flocks of egrets will circle and dance in the sky, becoming a beautiful local scenery.
It is understood that egrets like to live in swamps, lakes, humid forests and other wetland environments. Mainly feeds on small fish, amphibians, reptiles, mammals and crustaceans in shallow water. Biyang Lake has a good ecological environment, a vast water area, and dense reeds. It has a good wetland ecological environment and can provide abundant food resources for migrating birds. Therefore, it attracts many migratory birds to spend the winter here. Currently, the known birds that inhabit Biyang Lake include egrets, red-billed gulls, wild ducks and other birds and poultry. The local government's effective ecological construction measures have gradually improved the ecological environment of Biyang Lake, successfully turning the busy city into a paradise for birds.
Biyang Lake is an artificial lake with an area of ??about 300 acres. It is located in the southern new district of Bijie City. It is an important part of Bijie Tongxin City Park and is also known as one of the "Bijie Internet celebrity check-in spots". Among them, there is the highest hill, which naturally forms a peninsula in the lake. Because there are many egrets inhabiting the forests of the peninsula, this peninsula is also called "Egret Island". There is another cultural landscape in Biyang Lake that is worth seeing, and that is the bas-relief sculptures on the white stone fence along the lake, which are composed of the ethnic customs, mountain geography, historical and cultural landscapes of northwest Guizhou. It includes many titles including Yelang Archeology, Yelang Music and Dance, Weining Zhongshui Bronze Drum Dance, Qianxi Lanterns, Weining Cans of Tea, Commoner Flower-stitching, Taiji, Miao Great Migration Dance, and Bai Dance. The last one is the "Musical Fountain" built by the local government, which is also a major local feature.
All living things in the world need a good natural environment, and environmental protection and improvement cannot be separated from our collective maintenance.
