How did Debussy first come into contact with music?

Debussy was born in the suburbs of Paris on August 22, 1862. His father worked as a clerk and opened a small pottery shop. My ancestors have not understood music for generations. Due to the poverty of his family, his father hoped that his son would become a sailor when he grew up.

When he was a child, Debussy and his parents came to live with his uncle who lived on the Mediterranean coast. He loved the sea deeply and often went to the seaside to admire the ever-changing seascape. The magnificent scenery of the Mediterranean left a deep impression on Debussy's heart in his childhood. There is no doubt that this had a profound influence on his creation of the symphonic suite "The Sea" 30 years later.

Debussy’s aunt could play the piano, and it was this aunt who introduced Debussy to music for the first time. He once studied piano with his aunt, and later became a teacher of an Italian who played the piano very well.

But this interesting life will soon end, and their family will return to Paris. Debussy no longer had a teacher to teach him the piano, but he sat at the piano every day and played some tunes he learned at his aunt's house.
