Let’s talk about the Bell of Sha Yun. It was the 16th year of the Showa era, and it was still in China and Japan. war (before the outbreak of the Pacific War, the Japanese called it the Japanese Incident). I remember that I was in the second or third grade at that time, and Sha Yun was very young and was my classmate. One day just after the typhoon, Sha Yun was carrying a small child on her back. The child (nephew) went down the mountain from Jinyang to Nan'ao. In the past, the Japanese encouraged the aborigines to raise sericulture in Jinyang and other mountainous areas, so sericulture was popular in the mountains. I may be a little rude to say this, but she (Sha Yun) suffered from trachoma because of He had poor eyesight and was carrying a child across a single-plank bridge. He accidentally fell off and was washed away by the stream. The whole village searched along the stream and even to the seaside, but they couldn't find it. It was during the war at that time. The Japanese government took advantage of this incident to fabricate a patriotic story.

Actually, regarding Sha Yun’s story, I also have a grudge against the Japanese. I was drafted into the first phase of the Self-Defense Forces and was dispatched When I went overseas, the Japanese reports on our troops at that time were completely nonsense. The newspapers said that we had achieved brilliant results, that the American soldiers were wiped out by us one by one, etc. All the letters I wrote back from the battlefield were published. In the "Friends of Lifan", they talked about how brave Kentaro Toyoda [the elder in this paragraph of oral history] was. They even said that after the hero triumphs in the future, he will not have to worry about food and clothing. After hearing this, the mountain youths all removed their tattoos. They all lost their lives and volunteered to serve as soldiers. Later, these people sacrificed their precious lives. Why don’t I feel sad when I think that it was all caused by me?

The same goes for Sha Yun, who was killed by the Japanese army. Fang used it to make up a story about a patriotic girl who unfortunately fell into a stream to send off a Japanese teacher who was about to go on an expedition. This story may be a little better than my fake victory report, but think about it, how could such a young girl follow What about the teacher falling in love? It's such ridiculous nonsense. I later talked about this matter with a Japanese, and he irresponsibly said that it was a thing of the past, and we'd better forget about it. Don't you think this kind of Japanese people are very cunning? The story of Sha Yun was known all over Japan at that time, no, even the whole world, and the famous writer Saijo Yashiro specially wrote the lyrics and composed it into a song. How could such a big thing be possible? How about letting it be forgotten?

So about Shayun, I felt a sense of mission and had to tell the truth. What happened was this: a Japanese teacher named Hirano attended the Governor's Office During the Mandarin training seminar held, I wrote a story about Sha Yun in my composition. The Governor was very moved after reading this article and thought it was necessary to publicize it widely. At the same time, he also presented the "Patriotic Girl's Bell" as a commemoration. Sha Yun. Speaking of which, our government (referring to the Nationalist Government) really shouldn't have done so. Not only did it reject Sha Yun and Sha Yun's story, it even ignored the clock if it was stolen. This clock, which cannot be bought for a million dollars, has already been I can never see it again, only the cement pedestal on the surface is left. I also carried this cement pedestal back then, and the traces of the inscription can still be seen vaguely on the pedestal.
