In order to improve the living conditions of troops stationed in Tibet, Du Yunsheng visited Tibet six times. In August, 1987, the head of the General Logistics Department sent them to the Tibet Military Region to plan the barracks construction. They gritted their teeth, overcame the severe mountain reaction, insisted on going down to the construction site and watching the scene, and worked overtime every night. In a short time, they inspected more than 1,4 barracks in the team headquarters in Tibet and came up with the renovation plan, which was well received by the leaders. Later, he led the original team to Tibet for specific guidance and implementation one by one. In this way, in order to do a good job in the barracks construction of the troops stationed in Tibet, he went to Tibet six times from 1987 to May 1992 and traveled all over Tibet, which was a much-told story among the troops stationed in Tibet.
