Liang Hongzhi (September 2, 1957 - October 30, 2004), male, Han nationality.
Born in Zuoying District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan Province, he was a representative figure in the development of campus folk songs in the late 1970s. He composed more than 500 songs in his life. During his sophomore year, he was baptized and converted to Christianity. He composed the love of the Lord Jesus and the beauty of following the Lord into the gospel song "Please Follow Me," which was sung by Su Rui. Together with the touching "Change", it became a classic of the century. Tsai Chin, Su Rui and others became heavyweight singers in the music industry because of singing his songs.
His works have beautiful tunes, graceful words, and are full of artistic conception and charm. Some even call him a master of music in narrating emotions. Liang Hongzhi, a Taiwanese musician who cannot be forgotten. He composed many excellent songs during his life, which are still sung by us. At about 3 a.m. on October 30, 2004, Liang Hongzhi died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 47.
Liang Hongzhi’s creative history:
He started composing lyrics and music when he was a student. He wrote "Just Like Your Tenderness" in high school. When he was 20 years old, he showed his amazing talent. His friends all loved singing his compositions. Before he became famous, his songs had been widely sung by students on campus. In 1980, he published his debut song "Just Like Your Tenderness" in the "Folk Style 3" compilation album, and discovered Tsai Chin's singing. This song made him famous. He and Tsai Chin became household names overnight.
The movie songs "How Could" and "Choice", which he collaborated with Tsai Chin, once again became popular. The song "Choice" won the Golden Tripod Award for Composition and became a smash hit in the Taiwanese music scene. After that, "When I Miss You" and "Forever and Forever" caused waves again and again. In that era when the Chinese record market was still in its infancy, Liang Hongzhi's creation set off a poetic trend.
