I prefer Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor, which is also one of my favorite violin concertos.
This piece of music has a history of nearly 190 years. In the long river of time, after a hundred years of baptism, the whole piece of music has added a classical charm. The whole piece consists of three movements. Although it is divided into three parts, there is no obvious sense of interval before and after, but it is very smooth. Moreover, the total duration of these three movements is only about 30 minutes, which is not too long compared with other violin concertos. Therefore, the audience can enter the environment created by the music more comfortably, and it will not be particularly abrupt or difficult.
In the first movement, there are some very passionate Allegro. Although the orchestral sound at the beginning creates a slightly sad beginning, the violin melody immediately pulls the listener into a dreamy world, and the theme of the ballade is as colorful and flawless as the sea. And at the end of the first movement, the violin solo ends with a gorgeous beauty, which also shows the soloist’s superb musical skills
And in the second movement, this violin brings the audience The theme seems to be a pure and soft big bed, lying on it, quietly listening to music telling an ancient and distant story. From all the instruments in the band, a low mournful sound continued to be heard. The violin trembled with the rhythm of the music, as if a person was crying quietly. This transition made the sadness quickly become a pure theme.
The third movement, although it inherited the steady and slightly low lamentation of the second movement in the initial introduction, was soon taken over by a slightly cheerful tone. After this soothing and cheerful rhythm continued for a while, the violin began to really come alive, and the sound wave gradually increased, becoming the protagonist of the third movement - and the last movement of this performance. The violin is like a baby, sometimes naughty and like a happy angel. Led by the violin, the orchestra became excited, and the movement ended with a bright sound.
