Wang Xianrong: Generally speaking, I am very pleased. After 30 years of ups and downs, the company is now in good condition, relatively healthy in all aspects, and has good development prospects. I feel that all the efforts have been worthwhile. In particular, I feel most gratified in the past five years - it has developed relatively quickly, is relatively healthy, and has entered a new stage. The company has just completed a new five-year plan, drawing a new blueprint for C&D development. We are full of confidence in the future.
Reporter: Many companies are learning from C&D. Can you share with us how C&D succeeds, or what is C&D’s core competitiveness?
Wang Xianrong: If we talk about the key to success, from a big perspective, we must first thank reform and opening up. Without reform and opening up, no matter how capable people are, they can't do anything. Jianfa was founded in 1980 and has grown with the Xiamen Special Economic Zone. Some people say that Jianfa is actually the epitome of special economic zone construction. From Jianfa, we can see how reform and opening up develops and prospers, and we can see the development path of the special economic zone.
Second, we should thank the previous municipal party committees, municipal governments and relevant departments for their trust, help and support to C&D. Along the way, they have given C&D many market-oriented policies, unlike the management of old state-owned enterprises. Manage C&D. Everyone said that the mechanism of C&D is very good and it can formulate internal rules and regulations according to the market mechanism. Jianfa has also encountered setbacks. In difficult times, the government helped Jianfa tide over the difficulties. Without this support, Jianfa may have died. Many people in our team entered C&D when they were in their 20s and have been in this company all their lives. Now they are in their 50s and have devoted the best of their lives to C&D. Reporter: You just mentioned that C&D has just completed the formulation of the next five-year plan. When you were developing C&D in the early days, you said, "Let C&D people live a good life." Later, you said, "Let more people live a better quality of life." What plans does C&D have in the next five years? Vision?
Wang Xianrong: "Let Jianfa people live a good life", that was said during Jianfa's existence.
It was very difficult for C&D at that time. I was the general manager. At that time, I told everyone: "What is mission? Mission is different from responsibility. Responsibility means that I do this job conscientiously and do it well. Mission is to do things well." There are ideals on the basis of "". I hope that when I am the general manager, I can lead the people of Jianfa to fight and let all the people of Jianfa live a good life. But now C&D is different. When we were discussing the five-year plan, I told everyone that we must have a mission and a company with lofty ideals. It is not just about making money. But as today's C&D, if it is just to make some money, solve the income of employees, and repay shareholders, it is a bit narrow. Today's Jianfa must have greater ambitions. Wang Xianrong: C&D covers many industries, but they have one characteristic: they are basically service industries and tertiary industries, and most of the businesses are high-end. What we pursue are better and better products. And service is getting better and better.
Let more people live a better quality life, of course employees are one of them. At that time, Jianfa only had one or two thousand employees. Today, Jianfa has more than 10,000 people, and it will soon reach 20,000 or 30,000. We hope that more and more employees can live a good life with Jianfa. , live a quality life.

For example, C&D Group’s goal is to become an outstanding large-scale industrial investment group in China; C&D Co., Ltd. focuses on supply chain operations and hopes to become an internationally competitive and leading supply chain enterprise; The real estate companies that we develop may not be too large in scale, but they are all required by China's excellent real estate companies; the same goes for tourism, we hope to become China's excellent tourism companies... The next five years will definitely be changeable, with many uncertainties. If we talk about pressure, it is that in the midst of changes, many companies have made very rapid progress. Now C&D is facing pressure from central enterprises and private enterprises, which are very different from before. After the adjustment of central enterprises in the past few years, their competitiveness has made a big leap. In the past, we felt that central enterprises were big, but their flexibility was poor. However, in recent years, the mechanism and flexibility of central enterprises have been greatly improved. There are also private enterprises, which were very weak in the past. Wang Xianrong: At C&D, I want to create a platform where everyone can work happily and actively. When the company was small, I was able to create an atmosphere, a platform, and a spirit in the company. Now that C&D is very big, it is impossible for one person to go deep into every enterprise and contact every employee. Your circle can only reach a certain extent. Reporter: You came to C&D in 1984 and have been with C&D for 26 years. What is your biggest personal gain from working at C&D? What insights do you have about life?
Wang Xianrong: I think my greatest happiness is that I can put my ideals and ambitions into practice in this enterprise. This is not available to everyone. Some people have many ambitions and ideals, but none opportunity to implement. I practice my ideals in the enterprise and keep exploring. This is rare and I get a lot of exercise.
