Why is there no music prompt for incoming calls on my mobile phone?

If you are using a Huawei mobile phone, you can troubleshoot the operation through the following methods:

1. Check whether the music player is open

If the music player is open Status:

(1) It may be that you accidentally pressed the buttons of the wired headset and Bluetooth headset. You can solve the problem by turning off the in-line control function of the app.

Take Huawei Music as an example: Go to Huawei Music > My > Settings and turn off the support for headphones and Bluetooth control playback switches.

(2) It may be that you have mishandled the leather case, desktop music icon, etc. It is recommended that you manually close apps that automatically play music.

(3) It may be that the music software has set up the automatic playback function. You can try turning off the automatic music playing function of the app.

2. Check the system default notification ringtone

If the default notification ringtone is set to music, the music will be played when the phone receives notification messages, making you mistakenly think that the music plays automatically.

Confirmation method: Go to Settings > Sound/Sound and Vibration > Default notification ringtone, click to listen to the selected ringtone, and confirm whether it is the automatically played ringtone you heard.

3. Check the application notification ringtone

If an individual application plays music when notifying messages, it may be that the application has set a separate notification ringtone.

You can adjust the ringtone in the app's settings. For example:

(1) Information: Go to Information > More (three-dot button) > Settings > Information ringtones and check whether the ringtone is set to music.

(2) WeChat: Go to WeChat>Me>Settings>New Message Reminder>New Message System Notification>Ringtone, check whether the ringtone is set to music

(3) Use your phone healthily: Enter Settings, search and enter Application Management > Three-dot Button > Show System Processes, find Healthy Phone Use, select Notification Management, and check whether the ringtones in Reminders and Others are set to music.

You can also turn off the app’s permission to allow notifications:

(1) Set the app individually: first clear the notifications in the drop-down notification bar, and then when you encounter this problem again, Pull down the notification bar, swipe left or right slightly on the newly appeared app notification, click to enter when the gear icon appears, turn off the app's allow notification switch or select the ringtone to none.

(2) Batch setting application method: Enter the phone settings, enter the notification/notification center, click to enter batch management, turn off all switches, and then turn on the allow notification switch of the application as needed.

Tip: Some models do not have all switches and need to be set individually manually.

4. Check whether Private Space/Multi-User is turned on

If you do not receive any notification when your phone automatically plays music, it may be that you have turned on Private Space/Multi-User. When some third-party applications in Private Space/Multi-User receive a message, the message notification sound can also be heard in the Main Space.

Please switch to Private Space/Multi-User to check. The confirmation method is as follows:

(1) Private Space: Enter settings, search for Private Space, and check whether a Private Space has been created. (It displays that the entry instructions have been created, and it displays that the opening instructions have not been created). If so, please enter and check.

(2) Multi-user: Enter settings, search to enter multi-user, and check if there are other users. If so, please enter and check.

5. Check whether the read-to-speak/blind mode (screen reading) is turned on

In TalkBack (screen reading) mode, the phone will automatically read out what you touch, select and activate specific content.

How to turn off:

EMUI 10. Click Settings > Accessibility > Accessibility > Screen Reading, turn off the Screen Reading switch;

Magic UI 2.X & EMUI 8.X&EMUI 9.X: Click Settings > Smart Assistance > Accessibility > TalkBack, turn it off TalkBack switch;

If your problem still cannot be solved, please back up your data in advance (back up WeChat/QQ and other applications separately), and bring your purchase voucher to the Huawei Customer Service Center for testing.
