1. After inserting background music, select the audio , click the play menu under the audio tool, click the drop-down arrow in the box behind Start, select "Auto", and set the audio playback mode to automatic play.

2. Then click "Animation" on the menu bar above.

3. Click the "Animation Pane" command button in the advanced animation command group area under the animation menu.

4. Double-click the file name corresponding to the audio in the animation pane that appears on the right, and the audio playback dialog box will pop up.

5. Click "In" under "Stop Playing" in the Play Audio dialog box, and then enter the slide number that needs to end the background music in the subsequent box. Enter 6 here and click OK. button, click the slide show, and you will see that it has been set to end the background music playback after the sixth page of the slide show is completed.
