Performance Course (CPPD)
This module provides compulsory learning experience for performers . Individual tuition will vary based on instrumental or vocal specialty. The module will conclude with an individual performance assessment. This module emphasizes personal technique, curriculum and orchestral comprehension (if any). The content specified in the syllabus will be taken individually.
In addition, students will gain experience through a large number of orchestra practices and will be continuously evaluated by the orchestra director. The learning log will help students check off their performance activities for self-assessment and accurate recording.
Intermediate Music Skills Training
This module is designed to provide students with basic skills in listening, harmony and instrumentation. These skills form the basis for effective further students' studies in the modules. In addition to weekly classes, students will participate in seminars/concerts designed to improve and enhance listening and professional aspects.
The module’s study manual will form the basis of the entire learning process and help develop students’ ability to understand and process simple harmonic exercises as well as basic music video and instrumental skills.

Popular Music Analysis I & II
Popular Music Analysis consists of two modules that expose students to important works of popular music in order to enable them to work on the concepts of these musical genres analyze. Similarly, students should be able to identify the development trends and sharp contrasts in music of similar genres, and use relevant knowledge to analyze and understand musical works of similar styles.
Artist Development
This is the core theoretical module of the fourth stage and the basic industry requirement for professional performers.
Students will learn creative knowledge and skills and learn how to organize various elements of performance creation, financial management and logistical preparation.
This module is designed to enhance students’ employment competitiveness, including resume preparation and professional works. This module will also help students understand the mechanics of performance creation and marketing.

This module covers music-related themes and events from 1600 to 1900: changes in the social functions of music, the relationship between text and music, Pure music, musical form and structure, title music and nationalism.
History B: History of 20th Century Music

History of Western Music I & II
This module studies Western music from the 16th to the 19th centuries, aiming to give students a basic understanding of the era of music as well as the works and their typical styles. understanding and have the knowledge to develop a personal style.

History of Chinese Music I allows students to understand the birth of ancient Chinese music and its current development. The topics of this module include the history of Chinese music, the concept of returning to classical music, ancient rituals, religions and operas, as well as folk songs of the Han and various ethnic minorities, and by extension the musical instruments of the Han.

History of Popular Music II will introduce the history and style evolution of Western pop music from the 1960s to the 21st century. Students will learn about the components of these popular styles, the sociocultural influences, and the trends that gave rise to their development.
The focus is on their influence on today’s music trends. Musical styles that will be discussed include blues, rock, jazz, R&B, soul and country jazz, and important historical figures such as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, Van... Morrison and the Foo Fighters.
Recital Project
This module requires students to plan and complete a performance based on the knowledge and skills learned in the artist management course and core performance courses.
Modern Music Seminar & 20th/21st Century Performance Seminar
This module focuses on the performance of the 20th and 21st century ensemble repertoire. Students are encouraged to actively participate in various seminars, actively perform and submit a comprehensive personal portfolio.
