What is fear?

Fear is the best entry point for you and me to change our consciousness. Fear or any negative emotion itself brings about an energy difference. Through the practice here, this energy difference becomes the fuel for the transformation of your and my consciousness. It can be said that the greater the fear, the greater the power of transformation.

There are two ways you can help yourself get through fear or any negative thoughts and return to the origin of consciousness again and again.

First, there is the method of surrender. Regardless of any shrinkage or fear in your heart, as long as you observe it, you will hand over the fear and shrinkage in your heart to the power you trust - the Lord, God, Buddha, Bodhisattva, the universe, and nature.

At the beginning, you may not be proficient yet, and you have to wait until the fear has set in for a while before you think of handing it over. At this time, you may not be able to apply the brakes, and you may not know what to hand over. You may even be afraid of what you hand over and the consequences of handing it over. You may have thought about it more and more, hating the cause of the fear and fearing the consequences. But, it doesn't matter. In the same way, whether it is fear, its antecedents, or possible consequences, you can hand it over to the Lord, God, Buddha, Bodhisattva, the universe, and nature.

There is fear, anger, worry, and regret in your heart, but you just hand it over again and again.

By handing it over again and again, you become more and more skilled. Even if you only experience a little shadow of fear, if you notice it early, you can hand it over to the Lord, God, Buddha, Bodhisattva, universe, and nature in your heart.

As you hand it over again and again, a kind of space seems to appear in your heart, allowing you to realize that some environmental conditions can easily trigger your fear. You are becoming more and more sensitive and proficient. As soon as you enter this environment, even if you are not afraid yet, you can already surrender naturally.

Surrender, with the idea of ??unity. Unity will naturally make people happy. As long as you hand it over again and again and become more and more accustomed to the practice of surrender, you will naturally find that surrender itself brings joy and relaxation. It is a positive loop in itself, making you look forward to entering it at any time.

As you become more proficient, you will find that you are already surrendering even if you haven't noticed the slightest hint of fear. You feel the joy of surrender at any time, but fear has no chance to come out at all. Doing this does not mean suppressing it, nor does it suppress the fear into the subconscious mind, so that it can still have the opportunity to counterattack at any time.

You will find that the more often you practice surrender, the positive loop will completely expand. Even if your original intention of surrendering was not to replace the negative circuit with it, the negative circuit has disappeared without you realizing it.

More importantly, if you are used to surrendering to the point where you can be sure of surrendering at any time, the attraction of doing so will be so great that it will be like surrendering has become a very important part of your life. part. Before you know it, you are doing it effortlessly from morning to night, and surrender has become your norm.

To stay in this state is to stay in the Self. This kind of surrender does not need to be connected to anything - it is surrender, for the sake of surrender; surrender, to get surrender; surrender, to surrender; surrender, equal to surrender. Next, there is no next step, we naturally go to the root of relative consciousness, and we can stay there at any time.

The second way is to use parameters.

As long as you find yourself shrinking and fearful, you don’t actually need to analyze the causes, consequences and content of shrinkage and fear. Instead, you should immediately make a turn and ask yourself - who is shrinking? Who is afraid? Why do you have this fear? For whom, there is this shrinkage?

At this time, you will naturally find that there is a "I" who is experiencing shrinkage and fear, and then you can gently ask - then, who am I?

At this point, I believe you already know that the point of asking this question is not what kind of answer you want to get. Asking this is just a reminder at most. Remind you of something? Let me remind you - I, the most fundamental self, am not actually this body, nor this body and mind that can be limited, atrophied, and fearful. The most fundamental part of me is that I had it before I had fear, and I still have it after I have fear. The most fundamental part of me is eternal.

At this time, you just need to easily bring your attention back to your breathing. Back to one in, one out. One in, one out. Next, relax into a feeling of presence or presence that comes with breathing.

You experience this feeling over and over again. Once you become proficient in it, just like the practice of surrender, you will naturally find that it is a joyful feeling and would rather stay in it.

As you become more proficient, you will become more and more sensitive. Before the fear attack, you were already doing exercises. Even, you can stay in a feeling of existence through participation at any time. Before you know it, the reminder to take part has become the most common task of your day. No matter you are walking, talking, or doing things, you will find that you can easily experience the feeling of existence and existence without any conflict with the things in front of you.

You don't need to "think", but you can get "action" at any time, just like the "presence" of this existence, helping you do things and think. Not only does it have no impact on the things in front of you, but you also suddenly realize what it means to be at ease.

Unknowingly, fear, shrinkage, past sadness and trauma become far away. You will naturally find that this kind of homework brings you the greatest joy and happiness of the day, and you choose to enter it at any time, let There is no chance for any negative thoughts to interfere with you, let alone fear.

Even if you occasionally still have fearful thoughts and shrinkage, or even sometimes cannot step on the brakes, you will find that you will still enter this exercise at any time, and find that fear no longer has any influence on you. At best, you forget to practice for a moment, but when you think about it, you bring the practice back to your mind.

The two methods of surrender and participation can bring you back to the origin of consciousness at any time, just like what I said in the book "Me: A Case of Mistaken Identity" - in this human world , if you and I still have an exercise to talk about, we can only go so far. You don't need to jump out of this world or enter a source further ahead. This is something neither you nor I can do, and in fact there is no need to do it. Next, everything will take its course. You will find that your life has changed a lot, and the sadness and fear of the past have disappeared.

In this chapter, I use the emotion of fear as the entry point for practice. I'm sure you've discovered that any habit, especially negative thoughts or emotions, is a great opportunity to practice.

The real point of this exercise is not to change negative habits, but to use them as an opportunity to escape or find your true identity. The disappearance of this negative habit is just an incidental consequence.

This mentality is very important. If you can hold on to the biggest goal in this life - awakening, everything else can naturally become your tool. This change in mentality itself brings about a complete positive loop, which we look forward to entering at any time.

If you do not master this mentality, no matter how much you practice, the most you may do is cultivate another competitive state, replacing another seemingly painful circuit with an equally impermanent circuit. This kind of substitution itself is actually unreliable.

In other words, if you can cultivate this circuit of longing for awakening from every corner of your life, the circuit itself will naturally expand and stabilize, becoming the most reliable mechanism in your life.

You can return to it from every corner.
